Just crurious, i cant recall but when i was on the fantasy last nov we could not control the room temp, when i was on the grand the following month i could, i though perhaps maybe because the grand princess was a newer larger ship that thats what they had available, does anyone know if the balcony rooms on the triumph have a temp control in the room that i can adjust???

Hi,

I have been on many cruise ships that date from the early seventies, and every one has had thermostatic control of the temperature. Some units are more efficient than others, and they may be subject to mechanical failure. When you first board ask your cabin attendant to check the thermostat with you, and if you have any problems at a later time you can request service from the pursers desk.

On some ships, you control the temp. by sliding a lever on the vent in the ceiling. It works well, except the cabin stewards sometimes open it back up all the way so it is freezing again! Once they know you don't like it that cold, they will leave it alone.

Triumph has thermostat control in the vent in the ceiling. Just slide the lever like someone mentioned above.

I wish this was my only concern for the cruise. Geez.. You people think of the most remote issues to stress about when it comes to these cruises.

Wasnt stressed about it just havent been on carnivals bigger ships and was wondering, these boards are for informational purposes.

we just returned from the Glory and it does have a knob to turn it up, but it still felt a little too cool to me, even with it turned all the way the warmer setting. It gets really cold in the indoor areas of the ship, so I would bring a sweater. I wished I would have brought some pants or jeans rather than so many shorts and sun dresses.

On the Carnival Legend we could control the temps.
