We went to see it yesterday. I had read the book and seen the family on an episode of the Dog Whisperer so was familiar with the story. I still cried at the end. I thought it was a very good movie. I just know that many are surprised that is has such a sad ending.

We went to see the movie over the holiday and we all left with the opinion it was a lovely movie one which the whole family enjoyed, and yes most of us left with weepy eyes, I had also ready the book which I thoroughly enjoyed, and yes I even shed a few tears at the end of the book. Go and enjoy the movie.

I do know how it ends and having lost my beloved Gizmo only 9 days ago, I don't think I could take a sad ending right now. I'm afraid I would come out of the theatre blubbering uncontrollably. Since I lost Gizmo, I've cried myself to sleep almost every night.

Knowing now that it has a sad ending, I probably won't see it. Turner and Hooch has me sobbing everytime. The mini Hooch at the end helps.

Well, I had wanted to see it, but I don't do sad endings. So, I will skip this one.

We just back and we enjoyed this movie....then I was CRAZY :loveya about the book. Though the ending is sad, one must realize that Marley was I believe 13 and for a lab, that is getting old and this was the story of the circle of life and how much our beloved Furbabies bring to the family dynamics. In real life if you follow the Grogan's life you would know they go on to eventually get another lab named Gracie and the movie folks gave the Grogan's one of the puppies who played Marley as a puppy. His name is Woodson and he has just been diagnosed with canine hip dysplasia. You can read the story about Woodson in the link below. But I think Whimsy's pain is too raw right now to enjoy it.

Well, I for one am glad to have found out ahead of time that it's a sad ending, so I won't even bother seeing it. The promos don't give a hint of that. I don't think I'd enjoy the movie at all knowing that Marley dies....

All together this was a delightful movie, lots of laughs, especially if you love dogs. Anyone who owns a pet knows how very hard it is to lose a beloved pet so there were many tears and from some younger people outright sobs but that is what makes this movie so good. No pretense, no violence, no words to make you wince and the dog was the star of the movie. I truly enjoyed the movie and so did our two grandsons who were able to view the joy and the sadness and come out of the movie happy because it was a GOOD movie.

I loved the book, and am anxious to see the movie despite its ending. I normally am dry-eyed in a movie theatre, but I know I won't be for this movie.

My niece is spending NYE and a few more days with me, and I want to take her to see this. It has a sad ending, and I know that will make me remember my furbabies that have passed on, but that a part of having a living thing in your heart, be it man or beast. But maybe I should talk it over with her before we see it, she's 9, so I don't know how she'll feel about it.

Glo, my 8, 9, 10 and 12 year old Grands all did very well....Leatherneck and I were the booo hooo hoooers, even though the 8, 9 & 12 year olds have lost 2 beloved dogs Charlotte and Wilbur over the past 4 years and took both passings very hard.

One of my agents was there with her sons, they range in age from kindergarten, 4th grade and freshman in high school. They did alright. Like it was said above, it's the circle of life and the movie showed Marley getting older. Not to ruin it for anyone but they showed how much of a struggle and how they helped Marley in the end out of their love for him.

OK, I'm tearing up just thinking about it...............
