Quack Quack--see everyone has been posting goraners again-morning would be boring without them. REady to start moving around and accomplishing something again. Need lots of groaners to forget all the economic news. Sure wish I had somwe loose cash I would load up on some stocks that have fallen so bad--they will be back up in a few years... Hope all are enjoying all the pretty color wish I was on that New England cruise this year.. Have a great week end all!!!

Groaners are a great way to start a weekend. It's the weekday GROANS when the alarm goes off that does me in! Happy weekend all. We'll be meeting 8 of our May cruise buddies for our 2nd Post Cruise luncheon at a local seafood restaurant, Spengers. They print their menus twice a day, and if you are having a special event they will personalize them for you. This time our menus will say EATING LIKE WE'RE STILL ON THE MILLENNIUM! LOL!
Mary Ann, I have been there...Beer was cheap...food, excellent and cheap... and slots loose...laughs...

You are right, driving by it, doesn't exactly look like other strip hotels...laughs....
Bruce - anyone familiar with Phoenix would understand when I say that the hotel itself appearance-wise (not the restaurant) looks like it belongs on Van Buren Street in Phoenix. ::o But the restaurant and food are another story - excellent, and INEXPENSIVE.

Our 2nd post-cruise luncheon was a lot of laughs. Barb brought two rubber duckies to share the excitement of the upcoming Duck Cruise. Our fellow Millie-uns had a good time hearing stories about the D's and DIT's, but for me the fun was hearing Barb trying to figure out who is who, who can be trusted and who should be watched out of the corner of her eye. Easy, Barb. Three little words.... Frick, Frack and Brucie!

(I can't get this to rotate on this board, but in Photobucket, it is correct...sigh... duck curse! But if you turn your head sideways, you can see how Spengers personalized our menu for us, what they offer, and the left coast $.)

Ahoy Duck Crew - I'll be keeping you in my thoughts while I'm away. I hope Frick, Frack & Bruce don't try to take advantage of you. Bruce is especially cagey.

Great pic of you and Barb, Glo. :thumb

Mama Duck

I will not be on too much over the next couple of weeks. I will be working off a laptop at my daughters.

"on" what?

A prozac/lithium/valium/thorazine cocktail? One can only hope .....

QUACK !

OMG Glo are you quacked, posting a picture of the two of you. That was one HUGE mistake my friend..............

Suer... shhh.... don't tell, but that pic isn't really of Barb and me. Knowing Brucie, and F&F, we found two women at Spengers we thought would make good Duck decoys (to use some duck-terminology) so that we would be able to roam the ship without looking over our shoulders constantly. Barb and I are actually only 29!

Greetings, Ducks, Ducklings and DITs from the St. Lawrence River.

I can't get on using the laptop (nor can anyone else!) and this is the first I've been able to get on in the Internet Cafe.

The weather has been absolutely beautiful. It's chilly for a lot of folks, but Mal and I are loving it!

Everything has been great! We went to Portofino's Friday night for dinner and it was delicious. We did Johnny Rockets Saturday for lunch. We loved the floor show!!!!!!!

We head into the Saguenay River around 4pm for a scenic 5 hours or so....wouldn't you know we got tickets for the ice show at 4:30??!!??

We'll check in whenever we can, but as I said, the Internet Cafe has been more down than up!!!!!

Good afternoon Ducks and DITS. Back home after a visit with my folks this weekend. BEAUTIFUL indian summer weather here. Busy doing the weekend chores that we missed while away as we are off for the Columbus holiday. Not much else new here.

Quack everyone!

Well, we made it back to our nest. All safe and sound. Had a great trip. The race down at Lowe's was wonderful. Weather held off and, although "our driver" didn't win, it was a god race.

Coming back, we drove from Charlotte, through Hickory, to Blowing Rock, NC. Then followed the Blue Ridge Parkway/Apalachian Trail up to Winchester, VA. Absolutely beautiful countryside. SunFlower and I are now considering the Shenandoa/Blue Ridge area as a strong possible for final relocation. Today's drive was from Winchester, back to Michigan. About halfway through Pennsylvania, the color died off and the countryside changed, drasticaly.
