Return of the Cruising Bunny's....

It's still cold outside!!
Choir Christmas party was very nice. Not far from home, so that was nice too.

Nothing on the agenda for Saturday..... thank goodness.

Tired Good Night GIF

Good morning.
For whatever reason I didn’t have a good sleep. I’m wondering if it’s because we have 14 folks coming at 4:30 for soup night. I worry too much.
Michael Buble puts on a great live show. We saw him at a smaller venue when we lived in Ayr. Back when you could afford tickets to see a performer. Those young folks in the video do a great job with a classic tune!
I hope that you all have a safe, warm day.

Lee: Relax and enjoy your SOUP event tonight. Should be fun.

Mike: Hope all is well with you and Fay. Stay warm.

Karen: Hope you can handle your 77F degrees today. :emoticon 0115 inlove:

Out of here for now. It's 31F right now. Not bad.

Thanks Kathie, I couldn't copy/paste it. Glad your Choir ,Cristmas party was nice and close to home.
Lee, 100 years from now you will forget all about it. That is what I keep telling Fay, one time she told no I wont. Tierneys are coming over tonight and the Ohio, Indiana ball game for the big 10 championship plus the no.1 ranking for Ohio if they win.
Have a good rest of the day.

Well, a good Sunday morning to you all.
If I see or hear the word soup again in the foreseeable future I will burst out laughing. We had 7 amazing pots of soup of all kinds. Nobody left with an empty tummy! My favourite was Daniel’s New Orleans Gumbo Soup! We laughed a lot, drank a little and had a great evening! The ladies all gathered around the dining table and the guys around the the kitchen island. Somebody commented it one point “it’s like a high school dance”. :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:
I see Indiana squeaked past Ohio Mike. Fitting that the two best teams were separated by a single field goal. What was on your dessert menu last night?
Gatherings that are close to home are always the best Kathie! We got a tick above freezing yesterday. As I peck away at the keyboard this morning it’s 27F and we have a little snow starting.
77F sounds like a lovely day for Karen. The weather guessers are predicting nice weather for snowbirds over the coming months. Good Lord willing we’ll be waking up in Emerald Island 5 weeks from today.
The only remaining cleanup from last night is to empty the dishwasher of glasses and a few plates. We used disposable bowls and spoons so folks could swap them out to try the different varieties. I think I can handle putting them away.
And with that, I just got a “Snow Alert” from The Weather Channel.
You all have a fantastic Sunday!

Isn;t i wonderful to spend time with old friends, even if you do eat too much, I think eating to much is part of it. Charlotte brougjt some type of cake which was very good. 5 weeks will just zoom by. It was in the 40s this morning which is warm for us.
Hi K2 an Kc.

Hot Chocolate Winter GIF
Good morning gang. Rather chilly outside here.

Our Choir concert after services was a success. Not a full crowd to listen to use because we had some flurries that scared folks from venturing out to church. It was a short and sweet concert.

I got to visit Manny later in the afternoon. ONE CRAZY PUP! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

Lee: So glad the SOUP event was yummy. Great idea having throw away bowls and spoons..... makes for not too much clean up.
And yes, 5 weeks will buzz by fast for you two. Just not fast enough.

Mike / Karen.... hope you two are doing good.

I have some errands to run today and then I need to drag up some decorations for the "Pencil Christmas Tree". Also, need to figure out a menu for Christmas Eve family get together. Any suggestions folks would be appreciated. I bought a small ham and will make roll up Lasagna w/ sauce. (or as BB use to call it "gravy"! Ha ha.

Later gang.

Picked up my NEW "RED" Corsair today!

Wasn't supposed to end the lease until April, but the dealer bought out my remaining lease time. There were some good rebates that helped me make the decision!
Same car as the one I had except for the COLOR. It rides nice and has that new car smell to it.
I managed to get the "garage door opener" programed. And the Auto-stop and plugged in some favorite radio stations. I'm good to go!

I have an Oncologist check up tomorrow. Hope I don't get blow off the road with the predicted HIGH WINDS.

Out of here folks.

K2 , Fay will swap her dull old 2001 car for your new shiny car and even throw in the floor mats. You have a very nice looking car. I hope your oncologist appt goes well. Glad your concert went well.
Would you like to share a bowl of soup with me Lee?I
I worked on something for 2 hours on the computer that would have taken Fay 15 mionutes to do and I still don't have it done.

Good morning!
I love the colour of your Corsair Kathie. Congratulations! Yes, there’s nothing quite like the smell of a new car. I hope your visit to the oncologist is a routine checkup.
Funny enough Mike, people used to call me for assistance doing stuff on a computer. I’ve really fallen behind in programming and all of the modern tech that they say makes things easier on a desktop. I’d gladly put a bowl of soup in the mail but I fear that it may not arrive as we would hope.
How are you doing Karen? Does Jane have any idea when she may head home? I imagine there’s some hesitation to be home alone after having the security and care you have given her.
I was up at 5:30 again for no particular reason. The past few mornings I’ve managed to stay in bed until just after 6:00. I got up, let Ava out (we’ll go for a walk when it gets light and we can see any ice on the sidewalk) and took the garbage out. Then I realized tomorrow is garbage day! So I brought it back in. Oh dopey me.
We have a Parkinson’s event in Windsor later today. We do know one other couple who will be there so we’ll see what it’s all about. It’s from 4:00 - 7:00 but there’s no mention of appetizers or food. As a matter of fact, there’s no agenda of any kind. Sadly typical for this “organization”.
You all have a wonderful Tuesday.

7 degrees REAL FEEL here right now. Lordy how will I survive another Winter! Wait I'll just stay inside and TURN UP THE HEAT! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile:

Lee: I think it's "Barb" that is at Karen's house. Hope all is well down there.

I'm sure the PK event will turn out just fine. Wear warm clothes.

The appt later this morning is just a check up.
As far as the RED car..... I hope I remember to look for the right color when I go to the grocery store and park it. Ha Ha.

Okay, I'm off to make some Cream of Wheat. I make it with milk like my grandmother used to make it. Yum. With Cinn & Sugar on top.

Have a good day all.

Well by gosh now Kathie, you are right! It is Barb who is recuperating with Karen. Your breakfast sounds really good and warming.
Back in the day we had a red Mercury Lynx. We came out of a restaurant, walked up to the Lynx and put the key in the door lock. Remember those days ;) Anyway, it wouldn’t work. It wouldn’t work in any of the doors. Or the trunk. Well, OUR red Lynx was parked two spots over. We got into it and made good our escape as quickly as we could!
We’re keeping an eye on the sky. One forecast is for cloudy skies. The other is for freezing rain and snow. We’ll have to decide before we either head out or hunker down.
Have a great rest of the day everyone.

I have done that Lee, tried to get into a car that wasn't mine and one time I caught a guy trying to get into my car. I hope you just got t he cloudy skies instead of the freezing rain and snow, coming in the evening when it is dark and cold could get dangerous.
Kathie, my Mother used to make me cream of wheat with cinn on top. I would eat the top of it and pour more cinn. on it. How is the red hot rod getting along???
As usual, not much going on here, Fay and I talked about our sisters who were both fantastic people.
Have a good night and stay warm

3:45 a.m. Lee.... must be my night to not be able to get back to sleep. :emoticon 0122 itwasntme: Nice that we take turns.

It's SNOWING right now like crazy. Must have gotten a couple of inches already. And to think I could use a new 1/2 gal of milk! :emoticon 0102 bigsmile: I'll just have to do without it.
I took a drive to drop off food to George & Marie yesterday with the new Red Bug and did fine once I was out of the subdivision. But after what's going on outside right now I think I'll be staying put.

Mike: Good to know that you like Cinnamon on your Rice Pudding. Some folks just can't stand Cinnamon. We use to make Toast with Cinn & Sugar on it at my one girlfriend's house when I was little. Still remember sitting around a huge table with her 5 siblings and me eating that with a glass of milk. Those were the days.

Okay, I'm going to crawl back into bed and see if I can fall asleep.

Karen: Hope things are good down in your area. At least you don't have to worry about snow! :emoticon 0136 giggle:

200.gif
Remember doing "Snow Angels"?? If you do it now they'll put you in a home! Ha Ha.

YUK POOH! What a nasty start to the day. Being a little further south than our Kathie we got a dusting of snow but with temperatures around 36F it’s been raining. A lot. I’m hoping for a break in the rain so I can scrape the slush off of the back patio (for Ava’s safety) and the front for us. Later on temps are forecast to drop below freezing.
I hope you were able to get back to sleep Kathie. At least you didn’t have to lie awake worrying about the commute to work! No, I don’t miss those days either. Every now and again Lu-Ann will have an urge for cinnamon sugar toast for breakfast. I know extra sugar isn’t good for me so I may just have cinnamon. Plus, I’m sweet enough. :emoticon 0152 heart:
The weather held until we got home from our event Mike. They had a good turnout considering the forecast. I was thinking how accidentally trying to get into the wrong vehicle is a thing of the past now. You press the “unlock” button on your key fob (why are they called that?) and your lights flash as the doors magically unlock. On some makes even the horn beeps!
Hi and hugs to Karen.
Lu-Ann has a group zoom meeting with the fellow who invented / developed her PD band. Carl holds them every week for all of the folks who’ve just received theirs. He is in England so we had to convert 7:00 pm GMT to our time, which is 2:00 pm here. After wearing hers for a couple of days we’ve both noticed fewer tremors. Our fingers are crossed that it continues to help with some of the symptoms.
Wherever you are, I hope that the day is good to you!
