I am loving this, Jeff!

You mentioned Thien Fu in an earlier installment. He is among my favorite entertainers. Saw him a couple of times and enjoyed it greatly.

Your photos brought back many fond memories of our visit to Aruba, however, our photos don't look anywhere as nice as your photos do.

Your narration is always spot on. I could sit and read your cruise journal for hours.

Travel along the island's back roads with pristine landscapes and the opportunity to explore the Bushiribana Ruins of Gold, the Chapel of Alto Vista, and the California Lighthouse.

Enjoy a tranquil, picturesque stop for swimming and snorkeling at either Arashi Beach or Boca Catalina - before returning to your ship.

Here is our driver, tour guide, and captain of our three jeep group. I apologize for not remembering his name. As the captain, he would be driving the lead jeep, which we would discover later, really was a blessing, since we wouldn't be eating anyone's dust!

Here we are leaving the pier area, and the Carnival Liberty behind.....

CL0581.jpg

We are weaving through the streets of Oranjestad at a high rate of speed, with the horns blowing. We must have been quite a sight.....

We are back on the road again, travelling along the north coast of Aruba. The north coast is very rocky, desolate, and mostly unpopulated. That is why the hotels and nice beaches are found along the south coast of Aruba.....

CL0606.jpg

We have arrived at our next stop, the Bushiribana ruins of gold. It was here in the late 1800's that they crushed rocks to extract the gold from them.....

Look at all the little rock piles….

CL0614.jpg

The story that the Captain told us, and I don’t know if it’s true, is that the rock piles are a tourist thing. Pile up seven or more rocks and you will receive good luck. Here are a few rock stacks…..

We are on the road again….

CL0629.jpg

Taking the hills at 50 mph. If you have any back problems, this is not the tour for you. I was jostled around pretty good, and I loved it…..

CL0630.jpg

We drove by the ruins of the collapsed natural bridge, and then stopped at the “baby” natural bridge…..

CL0631.jpg

Ryan and the baby bridge…..
