NCL - Dishonest and Deceiving

We booked a NCL cruise embarking from Manila, because we live in the Manila area. We would have not booked the cruise had the port of embarkation been somewhere else. We booked almost a year ago a 12 day cruise from Manila to Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Japan. Payment in full was due 90 days before the cruise. We paid in full. 90 days was yesterday. Today, one day after everyone paid in full, they told us the cruise was no longer embarking from Manila. Now we have to embark in Hong Kong. Now we have to book airfare and pay for transportation to the port from the airport. They are offering $75/person onboard credit. Can't get a refund, they will only offer a credit. This is really shady practice. To wait until the day after everyone pays in full to tell us is really unethical.

So sorry to hear that! I’d feel the same way! I know they have the right to change ports but never thought of the departure port being changed!!

I truly appreciate NCL numerous and prompt responses to my emails regarding dropping 5 of 7 ports on the west coast; but they will not be compensating us for this down-graded itinerary. I really feel that NCL is A-OK with their bait and switch tactics. Will we get the advertised DAYLIGHT transit of the Panama Canal? If others would like to express their displeasure or wish to see NCL change this practice: vicepresidentguestservices@ncl.com
