Movie "Sixteen Candles" question?

Do you remember this funny movie? Anyway there a scene where Jake and his friend are in the gym doing chin ups. A song comes on in the background, sort of sounds like Elvis Costello. Does anyone know who the artist is or song name? I keep coming up with dead ends looking on the internet.

Well the Movie vesion the song isn't there. When they show the TV version its in that one with a couple other different songs. Go figure.

I have the one taped from TV years ago. I sat down to fast foward thru it and ended up watching the movie. It didn't help because there was no music during the chin-up scene on mine. Sorry.
