Just got an email from Harry's. I got all excited when I saw the word FREE in the title. Turns out to be a free KIDS MEAL with an adult meal. So in order to take advantage of this deal, you need to put little pigtails in your hair and Dennis needs to come to dinner on his roller skates. Only 1 kids meal on this deal, so decide between yourselves which of you is going to be the kid!

Boy, did we have rain here about an hour ago. Definitely don't have to water veggie plants today or tomorrow for that matter.

No rain here yet...................got cloudy for awhile so I came in,showered,changed into my clothes(as opposed to a bathing suit) and wouldnt you know it??????? The sun came back out...........


I'll ask Dennis about his attire for Sunday..:boogie:

He just called...on his way to Savannah after being in JVille today........bringing a load back THEN turning around and going right back to Savannah for another..................he now wont be home till tomorrow late afternoon/early night............

Dinner at Ale House was good, but they didn't have the special you got last weekend. We had ribs instead and they were soooo good.

Now we're watching the Steelers game. I love this time of the year!:clap::thumbup:

Love the Ale House. We have one in Alpharetta but I love the one down in Gainesville. That is where we always go for dinner when we are in town for a Gator game. The night before the game is packed and really gets those juices flowing for a great Gator game.

By the way, GO GATORS. Only one week to the Vols come to town.

Glad that the weekend is here. Need it.

Went to the doctor today about my knee. Hurt it six weeks ago and had two shots today to try and ease the pain. I cannot see the surgeon until October 27th. It looks like I have a slight tear in a tendon on my right knee and if so it will require surgery to repair it. Will have to get an MRI. Gotta love those doctor bills.

How did you hurt your knee?? I hurt my right knee about the same time...........on the treadmill........too high,too fast,too much....in other words,over did it...........I am just now almost back to normal,even though it still hurts to kneel down..............had xrays and they didnt see anything,so they think its was just a bad muscle sprain..........wonder what the difference is with muscles and tendons(as far as pain)..can you see torn tendons on an xray??

Had wine and cheese for dinner................no one home but me and I wasnt hungry after all those darn cookies..........

I was carrying boxes down the stairs in prep for the move. When I took a step, my knee popped. I heard it and then the pain hit. Tried to take it easy and see if it would heal on it's own. That didn't work so now it's on to more serious things. I cannot kneel down at all.

Cheese and wine huh? Went to Roasters and had Buffalo Chicken Tenders. Very good. Sat outside and the weather up here is great. Low 70's with a nice breeze.

Did I win? Ha! We played 8 games. 4 were one by a husband and wife and 3 were won by the woman sitting next to them. First game was won by a newbie. All in all, BINGO sucked tonight! I was home before 8:30. That has to tell you something.

Gordon - There's nothing like the Ale House on game day. As we were getting ready to head for home last night, one group of Steeler fans after another was coming in. After the excitement of the end of regulation time, I'm sure things were really hoping late into the night.
You gave me chills talking about what you did to your knee. It's amazing how something so normal can cause so much pain.

PH - Good thing you didn't tell Dennis what we've been saying. You can tell him after he gets home tomorrow and has had a chance to get some sleep.

Off to watch a bit of TV before heading for bed tonight. I'm really tired. See you in the morning.

TV sucked last night.............It was soooooo bad,I wound up watching Say Yes to the Dress on TLC.about brides picking out gowns..........I can not believe how much they spend............HOLY COW~~its insane.........could almost buy a car for that!!

Anyway,Dennis is is just back into GA and headed north.......he's gonna be one very tired guy when he gets back...

Man! What a gloomy wet morning it is. I actually slept until after 9! This weather keeps up and the Swamp will really be a swamp today! I hope Dennis isn't running into rain on his trip north.

Not much going on today outside of watching the game, of course. After that might just head for Sam's for one of their roasted chickens.

Just got an email from Justin. His school is having a fundraiser. They're selling those coupon books that the schools in Marion county do or did (not sure they still do). You can actually order a book for your area and it gets credited to him in TX! Isn't the internet great? I almost fell over when I saw the name of his school - Sippel Elementary! Bet Marcia would have loved to hear that!

I guess they like it ok. Jimmy works out of town all week, so I really don't know why his company was so hot for Missy & the boys to move there. Missy complains that she doesn't know anyone and just spends her day working and evenings on the computer playing games. She's very lonesome for family and often calls me in the evening. You have no idea how much I miss having her in the area.

I was hoping that they'd come for Christmas, but Missy told me the other day that that probably won't happen. I'm ready to say the heck with it and go on a cruise for Christmas. I'd also like to do that for Thanksgiving as most of the gang won't be around then either.

Just watch the Gators trounce Troy. Sloppy game 1st quarter, but once the Gators settled down in the 2nd quarter, there was no stopping them. YEAH!!!
