Miscellaneous(part 3....or is it 4?)

Never got to have my linguine tonight. Ended up trying the new Chinese restaurant that just opened outside our subdivision. Some of the best chow mein I've had since we left NJ. This place also has a sushi bar. We tried some and it wasn't bad at all. I have enough leftovers for at least 1 or 2 more meals!

Time to call it a night and watch some TV. See ya tomorrow ...

YOU had Chinese?? Wow................that is so strange cuz last night I dreamt that Dennis called me and asked me to pick him up some beef chow mein(something he would NEVER do)........I just deep down I knew you went and had Chinese.............

I went to be again at 9:30........those pills knock me out..........not taking any during the day today,just at bed time.........................

Not sure what we're doing today...maybe Dennis will get to enjoy the pool before he has to go to work............and I have to grill those chops today!!

Wow! Didn't know I had a psychic friend. Wait till I tell everyone that I know someone who is sooo good at telling the future. By the way... Can you tell me this week's lottery numbers? I don't mean last night's either. I want next Wednesday's PDQ!

Got the gang coming for dinner tonight. I'm doing grilled mixed veggies, grilled new potatoes and chicken breasts with mango salsa. Pain in the butt meal to do with all the prep work, but once you're ready to cook, I'm done.

Isn't it nice to be able to talk food here once in a while?

Went to Lowes today............asked the cashier about the military discount...........she said you have to ask for it..............I said,so its not just certain holidays?? She said again."You have to ask for it"...............apparentally she wasnt allowed to say more.................

I then researched online and it seems yes,you can get it.but you must ask first,then have the manager come over and approve it..................

Dont know about HD cuz we dont go there............

Bert said he probably wouldn't ask for it unless he was making a major purchase. Otherwise, it wouldn't be worth the trouble.

Lazy day around here. That's good as the sprinkles keep coming and going. Definitely not a great day for outside activity.

Bert has actually found some TV programs he likes. He hates most everything on TV so this is amazing. After watching IRT last night, he liked Pawn Shop (or whatever the heck it is called) and then Lock & Load, a new program on History Channel. It's narrated by an old gunnery sergeant who had to be a Marine Corp. lifer. He thought both shows were great. I thought they were b-o-r-i-n-g! To each his own, I guess.

Say hi to Dennis for me. So what's for dinner?

I started watching Pawn Shop,but didnt get into it................I used to watch Expedition,Africa which was in that time slot on the same channel...........think its over for the season now,but I sure didnt see the last episode...................guess I missed it

Your dinner sounds yummy. It's amazing how many times we have sweet potatoes these days instead of baked white potatoes, isn't it? Finally having that linguine & white clam sauce tonight.

I guess Rita didn't have anything to say to us today.

Dinners done and hes in bed...........so its quiet me time.....................

We rarely have white potatoes anymore,unless we eat out at a steak place............

I bet poor Rita was just swamped at work and didnt have time...............

I'll type softly so I don't wake Dennis. He needs his beauty rest.

I still do make regular potatoes with some meals. Wouldn't dream of having roast beef or meatloaf without mashed potatoes. We also like the little red new potatoes with certain meals. As Bert always says, it's my Irish that makes me serve some kind of potato with most meals (not with spaghetti though!)

Nothing much on TV tonight. Guess I'm going to have to see if there's anything I recorded with the DVR that we haven't watched yet.

Morning! It sure is quiet here except for the 2 of us, PH. We need San to start posting here again. Also Rita needs to say hello once in a while too. Otherwise, we're going to get a complex!

I know............San is not happy with us,I guess...................I know he's posting elsewhere cuz I just replied on the same thread as him.............and I have seen him on here a few times...............just reading,I guess...................

Now,I dont know about Rita..............I still say she's pretty busy or else she would be posting....................
