:cheer:Good morning all. Come join Paw and I in a hot cuppa and so chat. We will have a bowl of cherrios later and I have a few black berries to ad to mine. We watch the local morning news before we do breakfast. I never got to my repacking yesterday but plan on working on it today. Kindle has to charge first so I can't settle back into my book for a while. Paw has been watching Alaska weather and is talking abt repacking his suitcase . sure hard to know what weight of clothes to take..

We arfe both not diing too much. He is frustrated not to have scooter to play in yard. It is just not as comfortable to work from the electric chairs,

I watched antique Road show last night. Paw would like me to watch Tv with him but I have devolped my nightlly schedule and we doesn/t care for each others shows. Most of my shows have to do with history and lately have been watching some cooking shows. Would live to try some of things they cook. I also like to watch HGTV and help people make right descions abt what t buy. It drives me crazy abt the young women with small babies and toddlers and the steps to second floor. We lived in houses with stairs when my kids were little and they kept me worn out for sure especially those with laundry on low floors.

Do hope those who have had colds etc this week are feeling better. what is happening in your corner of the sandbox?:thankyou: :sunny:

Good Morning Maw & @ddict friends,
Maw I am sure you will get that suitcase packed in plenty of time. I would just take some clothes for if it is nice & some clothes in case its cold. Take things you can layer & dont forget the rain coat. I hope the weather is nice for your cruise. Sorry to hear that Paw is not a happy camper right now I bet he soes miss his scooter.
Warm here this morning after a high of 85 yesterday they say only 75 today with bright sun again. I'll take it.
I have to go out later to pay the property taxes. I hate paying so bad that I wont give them the money until the date its due. Its only about 6 miles away where I have to go so not bad
Take care

Good morning gang. Sunshine & 80* today; love this weather!

Wow Maw, you sure are an early bird today. Wish I was packing for Alaska. Oh well, maybe someday.

Darn smoke alarm went off in the bedroom about 2 a.m. this morning & kept going off every few minutes. Finally had to get out a step stool to get up & disconnect it. Have had this happen before & it has been because of dust on the ceiling fan blades so guess cleaning the fan is on today's to do list.

Kids will be arriving shortly so gotta run. We are spending most of our time outside now; they're happy & I'm happy!

Enjoy your day.

Good Morning Everyone

Very foggy this morning.

When I came along -- we lived on the second floor of a duplex. Mother had to go down 2 flights to get to the basement to do laundry AND stoke the coal furance.

Hoping the sun comes out for a little while - need to do some yard work.

Everyone have a good day.

Good Morning you early birds! Good to see so many posting so early.

Well, our computer at home has died again. I told Jim last night I am not fixing it anymore - so tonight we are going out to buy us Kindle Fire's! I actually have been using my I phone more and more and the computer less and less - just can not see putting money into it to check email and chat on FB and here - - honestly that is the only web sites we visit! lol

Sunny here again today - supposed to be 74 degrees.

Maw - we were lucky and actually had warm weather when we went to Alaska in 2000. I would suggest layers and a wind breaker. I know you all will have a great time - but I prefer the warm Caribbean - I am sure counting the days til my cruise next Feb. The new Carnival Breeze just completed it's water test and should be taking shape real soon.

Hope everyone is doing good - seems so much is going on with everyone! Hugs and prayers to all in need.

Take care and have a great day!

Good morning Maw and Ramblers. Started my morning off with torrential rains....it was coming down in buckets from about 2 or 3 a.m. until a little while ago....SLOW driving to the commuter lot this morning and on the ride on the van into the city...took us an extra 30 minutes. They say the sun will come out and we will get up upper 70s...with more Tstorms possible.

Maw, I checked the weather for all our ports on the extended AccuWeather forecast today...looks like it sill be similar to what we got on our Star Princess cruise. I have decided that I will pack my light weight "rain jacket" and a fleece jacket that I could wear under it....so layers is the name of the game.

Not much else to report from my end. Hope everyone is just peachy...y'all have a good day!

Good morning everyone. Not much to report just checking in! Hope you have as nice a weather as we did when we went in Sept. 09. We had drizzly weather one day - juneau I think - but other than that it was great. While we were in the glacier park it was stunning!

Will be getting ready for work soon - have a great day everyone!

Good Morning Maw and Ramblers

Beautiful sunny day on the horizon, I'm loving it. Hope to get some more yard work done this morning. Not much on the agenda today unless Seapapa decides to take ride somewhere.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Good morning. Tis another lovely morning here. Trouble is the sun wakes me up way too early!

As far as clothes for Alaska I take the clothes that I normally wear here. I received one of the worst sunburns ever there. But while you are in the glaciers it is cooler. On one trip folks were wearing the blankets from the pool while we were in the glaciers.

We are finally getting the snow tires taken off. We left them on until Sara got home because the week they picked her up there was a snow warning in the Pass.

Have a great day.

Good afternoon all!

I had my trailer checked at the yearly inspection and it passed. Actually, it only needs to be done every second year for a trailer. For our cars we need to do this the first time after three years, then after two years and after that once a year.

It has been a gray day here today, but no rain, and actually 64F.
Every second Tuesday we go for a pizza lunch. It was great as usual even though the pizzas are way too big (much bigger than the plate, not too far from the entire tray) making the afternoon a bit "sleepy". Hope no one noticed my eyes closing for some seconds in front of my computer. Hope I wasn't snoring...

Tomorrow is "Friday" for us as Thursday is a holiday day and Friday our company gave us a day off. I love the spring - plenty of long weekends!
I will probably take a trip to my summer house during the wekend, at least for one or two days, preparing for the summer. I bet it's too cold to swim in the lake, probably only 50F-55F in the water. A bit too cold for me - it has to be at least 63F before I'll take a dip and about 66F before I can really enjoy swimming there.

Thanks E and Funnel. I am looking forard to more pictures from this little trip. I will never get to go there.

Maw, I started a thread with some photos from my ferry trip to Helsinki in the Cruise & Travel Chat board.

I hope you all will have a nice day today!

Morning Maw and ramblers all. It's a beautiful day here and it's going to be very warm! I'm not complaining.

Oh wow...I am TV'd out! Two nights of having to record and juggle the schedules around finales! My favourite Five-O left me hanging!!

I spent most of yesterday deep cleaning around the house. The older I get the more difficult this job becomes! Wish I could have a weekly housekeeper come in to do these jobs but I'd rather plan another cruise with the $$$$ it would cost me. We do have someone clean the outside windows though.

Maw...for Alaska...We were there in late May last year and it was wonderful weather. The only rain we experienced was in Ketchikan. I hope you are as fortunate. The only way to pack for Alaska is to think layers...that way if it's chilly you can add a layer and if it gets warm later on you can start peeling off layers. Pack a couple of long sleeved tees or blouses and a couple of long sleeved ones. Take one warm sweater or light weight fleecy jacket/hoodie/sweathshirt and some kind of windbreaker that is also water resistant. A small umbrella may also come in handy. I call my umbrella my insurance....if I have it it doesn't rain...if I don't it pours. Always remember there is a gift shop available (on board and off) where you can pick up an extra something if you need or want it. Wish we were going on at least one leg of this cruise but having just done it last year and with our European adventure coming up later this summer it was just not to be. I know you are all going to have a wonderful time!

Donna...your remarks about the Kindle Fire made me smile! I would never have thought that I would be so attached to all things technical...but I find I am! In one room is my Mac...in another my I-Pad and in yet another (and often my pocket) is my I-Phone. What ever did I do without these devices? Yes I have my Kindle too...and I can read it in every room in the house even when it is sitting on my night table!

Well...I'm off to a lazy day at the scrapbook table and probably a little time outdoors while the weather is soooo perfect.

Have a wonderful day everyone. Stay safe and be happy in it!
