Everyone keep your fingers crossed. Jacque Bearstow has not arrived yet. I'm hoping he will show up in the mail tomorrow. It will be a bummer if he misses the boat. :(

Well I believe that the packing is NOW almost complete as the hard case has been stocked. :grin Oh yeah the clothes have also been packed and except for a few small touches we ARE ready to roll. :dance Now John U do NOT really expect any small talkfrom me do U??? :grin Well maybe after a couple Bloody Mary's. :thumb

.

YES !!! We are official. Great Job E on the BV. Thanks for your hard work. Safe journey everyone and see you either Friday or Saturday.

Can't believe its finally here - Last day at work. Almost packed, just a few last minute things to throw in the suitcase. Surfergirl exercised a lot of restraint and we actually have room to spare. Have to mow the yard this afternoon and take the Keep to puppy camp tomorrow and we are ready to roll. As long as Independence Air doesn't go belly up before 2:00PM tomorrow, we will see you guys at O'sullivans tomorrow night.
Everybody have a safe trip.

Updated Sailaway weather forecast - The local news is calling for highs of 75 to 79 degrees. One station is not calling for any precipitation, while the other two are calling for slight risk of showers. I can live with that :grin

Maureen, have a safe trip this evening. I guess everyone else (except for us local folk) are heading out tomorrow. See you all on Saturday.

John,

Early start. I find it takes me about 6 - 7 hours to make it from here to Brooklyn or Manhattan. Getting out that early you shouldn't hit much traffic, and you're heading south, away from NYC so you should have a nice drive. Are you taking I-95, or going down the eastern shore?

Just checked the WVEC tower webcam. It's pointing straight at the pier. Hopefully they'll keep it there so I can see the ship before heading out on Saturday.

For anyone in NYC. The Maasdam is there until 4:45 this afternoon.

I'm leaving work now and will be on the road in the next couple hrs. See you in Norfolk! Jacque didn't make it here in time so he's not going to be sailing with us. Hopefully he will show up in transit sooner or later.

This day is dragging. The honey do list is getting smaller. YES !!! Suitcases are almost packed.

By this time tomorrow we will be into the fun and excitement of being 24 hours away from the cruise.
Half and hour to kill at work here, as you can see I'm in vacation mode already. Just have to fill the suitcases tonight and try and get some sleep. I usually don't sleep well the night before a trip. I guess I'm too excited, almost like Christmas Eve for a kid. I'll post later when the warden gives me a smoke break.......

Marc, I am taking 13 down to the bridge tunnel. Figured the scenic ride would be nice.

Hope you all don't mind me jumping into this thread to wish you all a BON VOYAGE!

I know I sailed Maasdam on the wrong date (lol), but I tried to keep her in good shape for the HAL-o-Weenies. I know you will have a wonderful time. Hope you enjoy the scavenger hunt -- DH and I had a great time putting it together.

Enjoy the Pinnacle Grill, sailaway, Dutch High Tea, and everything else this fine ship has to offer. :)

thanks Lisa,
I am sure that you left it fine for us.

I am also like John, excited and will not sleep :lol

Getting ready to load the truck. We are almost there. I just have to wait for the final 2 bags. I guess my job will be to sit on them so they can be closed. See you all tomorrow.

Thanx for the bon voyage Lisa.

Well I guess it is just the locals that are left on here today since everyone else is traveling on the road or flying. It is soooo nice not to have to travel but across the river to board tomorrow. Hope to see everyone for the meeting in the afternoon. Till tomorrow!!!!
