I will be travelling on the Island Princess soon. Does anyone know if I can use my own laptop to connect to the internet on board? I have done this on RCCl.

I'm interested to hear the answer on this one too. I know you can do it with RCI, but I haven't heard about Princess. I'd like to make just one connection to download pictures and place an order on the internet. Hope someone can help!

I wonder if you can do it in airports? Do they have internet connections for laptops?

If you are flying out of Ft. Lauderdale, they have wireless internet in their airport. I just got home from the 11/22 sailing on the Golden, and did not see a place to hook up my laptop, as all the computers in the internet room had the cables locked on

I just got back from the Island Princess and they have wireless (801.11b) available at the internet cafe for a charge. I don't know the details, as I didn't bring my computer along, but it was available.

I don't know if this follows with the other princess ships, but I imagine that the Coral would be the same.

The Island Princess is the first Princess ship to allow you to use wireless if you bring your own laptop.

Coral Princess doesn't allow for this yet.

Very Interesting info and thanx for posting it. Looks like Princess is trying to catch up to RCCL in this category. :thumb
