good morning all time to spend on plnning for this cruise it will be here before we know it. We were ble t enjoy our deck this week end and watch the birds everything is so nice and green. Brenda and I had time to talk abt the cruise some and we kept looking for flights.

We won't be staying any extra time as Brenda and jim will be limited in time. I sure will have a practice3 pack or two for this cruise. Looks like swim suits with cover up will be all I can bring for day time. a couple of skirts and change of blouses which will be worn more than once. I don't think people really remember if you repeat clothes if they are clean.

Have a good day all

We also discussed the cruise this weekend but thats NO surprise since Jack & Honey were here. :grin I think we have settled in on giving the train a try for transportation to this cruise. :grin That obviously makes one lil lady VERY happy/ :lol So I will be doing some follow up on it this week to verify a few things and then probably booking it. :dance

Weather was spectacular this weekend here with the temps in the 70's for highs and 50's for lows. That is a bit on the cool side which is hindering the pool warmup but certainly making it delightful for sleeping. :thumb Take Care all and ttyl.

Howdy Jewel Ramblers. I took a look see at the train and though it is a bit cheaper then air by about $70 pp it takes over 27 hours to travel by air from DC to MIA vs the 3 by plane =eek

Still holding out on booking my air though it looks like the $270 pp on AA non-stop might be a pretty good deal. My commuter van price just went up another $10 a month after a raise just 2 months ago by $10. These times are hard when it involves gas.

Edited to add....those flights are up to $301 now =eek

Maw ! I often get my clothes clean on board, This way I can bring less clothes and be able to bring my radio,Binoculars

and other toys. I am a man , we don`t care about wearing the same clohes twice or three times on a cruise.:D

Denise, it is about 15 hours for us. BUT.. it leaves at 9 in the evening, and gets there at noon the next day. So most of the trip we would be sleeping. If we were flying, we would be getting up around 4 the next morning, and driving for 30 min. Check in and wait.. (1 hour) fly to the connecting airport. wait.. fly again... in all, it would take us around 8 hours at least.. and the last time they actually were real late getting in, and instead of taking off around 7, we did not even leave from here until around 1.
So this is looking very good. Plus flying is more than double in price.. :lol
