If You Can Spare a Few Prayers

Yesterday, my BIL, whom many of you met on the Alaska 2009 and Bermuda 2011 cruises, went for his stress test. It showed that one of the lower chambers of the heart was not getting blood. They immediately sent him to the hospital. Then, last night, they took him by ambulance to University of Pennsylvania. They're taking him up now and they say the surgery will be at least 5 hours. I'd appreciate any prayers for Magee.

Prayers are certainly on the way for him and the whole family. Please keep us posted.

Thanks for the prayers....they're obviously working.

He had triple bypass surgery. The Doctor was pleased with the way things went. He's recovering and his DD says he's doing "great!"

Thanks again for the prayers! :thankyou:

Mega prayers are of the way for Magee, Cis, and all you guys! I know he's a tough old bird......just like his buddy Leon, but lots of prayers will help. How incredibly lucky we are that heart surgery has progressed as fast as it has, and we'll keep praying for a speedy recovery!

Just seeing this post. Glad he came thru surgery well. Prayers for an uneventful recovery.

Judi, I'm sorry but I just saw this post... I will pray for a full and successful recovery for your BIL. Give thanks that he had the stress test when he did.

Once again, thank you all for the prayers for Magee.

The latest update was this morning and he was sitting up in a chair! Go get 'em, Dearie!

such wonderful news prayers will continue till he is home

Just saw this post. I am glad all went well! Ditto what Jacquie said... they probably know more about how the heart works and how to repair it then any other part of the human body, and for that we are all thankful! I'm glad he's doing so well.

Somehow I missed this thread - sorry.

Glad to know that the surgery went well and that he is now sitting in a chair and on the road to recovery.

Thank you, KK. He came home on Tuesday and is doing GREAT!

A great big :thankyou: to everyone for their prayers and good thoughts.

Our cruise will be that much greater knowing that he's home and is doing well! :)

Judi I am sorry I am so slow reading this-glad all has gone well. It is amazing what they can do these days.
