I just had a Humming Bird!

I went out to water and there he was one little guy eating in my snap dragons. I looked and said that is one big bee and the colors what the heck....... and then I realized............. I think I got a couple of pictures and he got mad and flew away! Yiiiiiipeeeee I moved the feeder and put it right next to my snapdragons. I guess that did the trick!

Just made new juice and filled mine - they are back out front so I will be watching. I have one by a basket of flowers on a shephards hood and I put the other one under a tree in the front yard!

I miss the one that came 3 years in a row and would build a nest in one of my hanging decorations. I had to remove it because she would lose her babes after several weeks to scrub jays. I hope she found a safer place to rear her young.

When I sighted my first hummingbird I thought it was a giant bumblebee. I didn't know that hummers were that tiny. Congrats on attracting a new friend.

I just emptied and refilled my feeder. Hopefully someone will stop by my feeder soon.

Roy spent two hours tonight trying to photograph the hummers in my garden. He has be serious about these photos since last year. He even joined the Hummingbird Society. He found out that photos of the birds on flowers are more sought after than the birds on feeders. He's obsessed! We both really love watching the humming birds.

I'm so mad . Mike had been messing with my camera and put it on twilight and didn't put it back. So I missed the pictures! They were on my flowers not the feeder.
