Fortress of the bears, sitka Alaska

Hi guys, has anybody been to the Fortress of the bears? Will be going up there in Sept an need to know what there is to see, if anything? Thanks in advance.

Been there twice, Sitka that is. I have not been to the Fortress of the Bears. I don't think the bears had built their fortress just yet.
Its one of my favorite stops in AK. Quiet town and wasn't too busy. I think they limit the ships at one time. Or they used to. Enjoy planning.

Of all the times to Alaska, have only been to Sitka once. But looked this up and it looks like they got their building permit. What an awesome undertaking. Definitely looks worth visiting if you are into bears

I love Alaska, and the last time when I couldn't go on cruise, I've simply ordered an air flight ticket.
