Cozumel

Has anyone made plans for Cozumel yet? I have been there about 5 times and I am thinking about spending the day at Mr. Sancho's again. We had such a good day there last year.

The food and drinks were good but the company was the best part!

Ellen,

My appologies, We ate at Panchos in down town Cozumel, not Mr Sanchos. I don't recall ever going to Mr Sanchos. Is it a tour that needs to be booked? Or just a restaurant to go eat at?

Thanks Ellen!

It looks a lot like the resort we went to a few years ago. I know one that we went to was the Play San Francisco beach resort. I'm not sure if this is one we went to or not.. they look so much alike.
Are you going to book all inclusive? If so, do you book through the ship? Just curious.

We are going to book it. You book it through the web site. It is a $5 deposit and you pay the $50 balance when you get there.

We did the Cozumel bar hop last spring. That was fun. But I like Mr. Sancho's too so I'm leaning more to going there.

As an FYI they separate those going the all inclusive route from ala carte. They have different seating areas.

Reservations is the best way to go.

I am going to go ahead and book Mr. Sancho's. It is only a $5 per person deposit on their web site and you pay the rest upon arrival.

ok - explain to me - why are there prices on the "All Inclusive" menu on their web site. Does the $50 cover all food and drinks or do you have to pay the small fee once you get there?

It includes everything on the menu except lobster. It includes all of the drinks also. I guess the menu is also for the pay as you go. If you only do pay as you go there is another seating area. We stayed there for quite a while so the $50 was well worth it. The beach area is nice and also the pool.

If your are going to Mr. Sancho's, don't reserve through the Mr Sanchos website as they charge $55 ($5 deposit and $50 due at arrival). Use this one instead:

http://www.cozumelwatersports.com/ToursExcursions/MrSanchosAllInclusive.htm

It's $5 deposit and the remaining $45 due when you show up payable in cash. Make sure you bring your receipt as they have no records at Mr. Sancho's.

Connie - San Francisco beach is next to Paradise Beach. Mr. Sancho's is on the same side as both these beaches.

I noticed something has changed - the open bar looks like it has restrictions now.

Also an Open Bar of the following drinks is available:
Margaritas and Daiquiris: Strawberry, Tamarindo, Peach, or Mango
Cocktails: Mr. Sanchos Special, Iguana Rana, Mango Madness, Miami Vice, Sex on the Beach, Dirty Monkey, Ticket to Fly, Banana Mama, Blue Lagoon, Long Island Ice Tea, Cold Coconut (FAVORITE!)
Beer: Sol or XX (Dos Equis) Lager (import beer not included)
Sodas: Coca Cola, Sprite, Fanta, Fresh Juices/Waters: Horchata, Jamaica and Tamarindo
Other: Ice Tea, Bottled Water, Lemonade
(alcohol shots not served)

So - is everyone going here or are there other options going on. I guess I need to read all the threads! lol

I have NO plans as of right now - except getting to New Orleans, getting on the ship, the slot pull and getting off. lol

I do not know what we are doing in Coz, may rent a car and drive around the island.

I'm like Donna - just trying to get on the ship and letting the Fun happen!! :spyglass:

Not everyone is going, I do think I will wait until later to book it just to see what everyone else is doing. Thanks Maureen for the heads up about where to book Mr. Sancho's.

I have never rented a car at any port and just driven around.
