COVID TEST QUESTION

I will be Flying to Italy first week in May from the United States. Will be on the Celebrity Edge. Celebrity requires a negative covid test they say 48 hours prior to boarding. My question is this:
Does anyone know if it is actually 48 hours, or do they consider within 2 days...The problem is I am due to Fly into Rome the day before, Also there is a big time difference, Italy is a about 7 hours ahead of the East Coast....I fly out on Wednesday the 4th of May and arrive in Italy on the 5th of May...I board the ship on the 6th of May about noon time...So, If my wife and I take the test on Wednesday, does it have to be before noon time or any time during that day...Also remember the huge time difference. Celebrity rep stated they go by the days not the actual hours...But I am not sure about it, The rep can say one thing while the staff at the port terminal can say some ting else...BTW, Flying into Italy is not a problem, Italy has dropped all covid test requirements if you are full vaccinated..We are including the booster...Thanks for any help with this.

Celebrity, as do all cruise lines that I know of, say 2 days before arrival, not 48 hours. Seems to be a minor difference, but it is not. For our January cruise we did our test two days before departure near our home in Houston before arriving at the port in FL two days later.

We did a charter of celebrity end of February, we needed proof of vaccinations, test 2 days before then they had us do another test before boarding.

2 days before your cruise you do not count the departure day so if you depart Saturday you need to take test on Thursday.
I'm from the UK departing in August and we have to take a supervised test.

I am also on Edge departing Rome on 6th may we are staying in Rome from 4th so does this mean we’ll have to find somewhere in Rome to have tests on 5th - we are all fully vaccinated including boosters ? It’s so confusing!!
