Coming out of retirement again!

Hooked

Staff Captain
Well it happened again. I temporarily quit at the hotel until September. But I gotta go back to work up here.
Our son broke his collar bone and can't lift anything. Unfortunately he own a snack food distribution route in the city of Rochester and can't do the job. So of course why not dad is back on the job. This will be interesting delivering Pork skins, Pork rinds, potato chips etc. etc. to the inner city. Actually he is going to do the paper work and I'm gonna do the manual labor.
How long does a collar bone take to heal???? :(

I can't answer the collarbone question, yet I do wish your son a speedy (as possible) and uneventful recuperation. He's fortunate to have you to step in!

So does this mean we can expect snack size bags of Pork Rinds for appetizers on the balcony for the Oct. Coz 2X Cruise???

So sorry to hear about your son - hope he heals quickly - hey just look at the job as getting in shape for that speedo! lol

I am sorry about your sons collarbone.
Healing depends on his age, but I think it is about two months for teens. Adults (again depending on age) can take up to 4 months.

Just tell him to not rush it, and do as the Doctor says. he can just extend the healing process by attempting to do too much too fast.
Have fun in your new career:biggrin:.

Sorry Hooked. 6+ weeks as was said. What's important for his is the physical therapy that will be needed.

I wish him well. And so sorry you can't relax by the lake this summer.

Sorry about the collarbone. Hope he heals quickly without issues. At least you will be able to spend some quality time together.

So sorry about your son. I hope he has a speedy recovery. Like you we would step in and do what we have to do.

Hooked - I send the best healing thoughts for your son. He is lucky that you are up there right now and able to help. Take care and be careful.

I'm sorry to hear about your son's injury, wishing him a speedy recovery. He is lucky to have you home to help out.

Hope you will have time to get some fishing in this summer.

So sorry to hear that your son broke his collar bone -- doesn't sound good.

You are a wonderful DAD to step in and help him out.

Hope your sons collar bone heals quickly.

In Rochester? Why don't you just get ahold of Suer, they can make deliveries off the plumbing truck. Specializing in.... Tostadas and Toilets.....................

Sorry to hear abt injoury of son good he has a parent who can fill in--just a few pork skins with low carbs but watch those beers with them. See you in Oct.

You're as bad as Brett Favre.

Tell your son to cut out the beer and caffine and drink more milk. I have it on VERY good authority that booze and caffine can slow the healing process.

Mike

What a great Dad you are. I think that it takes about 3 years for the collar bone to heal completely. Only kidding. You are doing a great thing, and I hope that your son heals quickly.
