We are booked to sail this friday on a carnival cruise ship and we booked under my husbands casino rate. Cruise has been paid for in full for over two months..regardless he now cant go and we dont have insurance.. If he no shows on sailing date , does carnival change the rate after its been paid for in full for the other passengers in the cabin? Seems there is alot of discrepancy with these situations. He currently has the flu and should not infect anyone on the boat? Carnival representative said I hsve to talk to people the day of at the pier? Didnt know if someone has similar situation and had some incite ..not wanting to pay more the day of boat?

First off you are inside any refund options you will be paying for him being there even if he isn't
"Carnival representative said I hsve to talk to people the day of at the pier?" sounds like someone doesn't know the answer and doesn't want to bother. They can tell you if you show up by yourself whether they will let you on or not this is not a pier side decision get back on the phone..
As far as having the flu, yes he can infect other passengers and all passengers are required to sign a statement that they are in good health and are not experiencing symptoms of flu like conditions, diarrhea, vomiting bla bla bla. His call if he wants to sign that statement and take any consequences.
As far as getting on the ship and paying more no, you have paid for double occupancy, you just won't get any money back

Good day,
I have an urgent question. If a cruise was booked for 2 persons using a casino comp with the taxes being paid in full and the person who initially received the comp is a no show, will the other person traveling now be liable to pay for the cruise or any other charges?
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated please!

This is the same question that was asked by the original poster, just worded different

I wish there was a clear answer on this. Ive been searching for this scenario on a few other sites and no one seems to have an answer. Im in the same situation, but with a 3rd passenger on the booking. So it would be 2 of us sailing while the 1 person who qualifies for the casino rate may be a no show. Im not worried about being out their fare, im worried about not being able to board or get charged the current rate.

Clear answer: Bend over and get ready.
These types of promos are for one reason: To benefit the promoter, end of that part of the conversation.
If you are not worried about being out the fare for the person that qualifies for the cruise and if you really want the cruise, don't be worried about the difference in cost, besides if you have to worry about the cost you shouldn't be on a gambling cruise anyway. Plus if it is within the next 30/60 days you aint going anyway. If you are in possession of a final payment invoice and have boarding passes in hand you are good to go as far as the cruise line is concerned, all necessary fares have been paid or you would not have boarding passes, unless the promoter has not paid the cruise line. In the meantime you really need to do some serious homework
These deals are not really scams but they are close enough that if you have any hair on the back of your neck it should be standing straight up.
I have lived in Nevada for close to 40 years, spent several of them working in casinos so after several posts over time from people wanting to sell there interest, cut deals for special buy ins, and on and on I have contemplated looking more seriously into these so called deals, so thank you for triggering an enzyme to make me get serious and see what these deals are REALLY about because all the posts that I read are from people that seem to get caught in a position/situation that they either need 911 help or they are willing to practically give their investment away just to get out of it for one reason or another and it is usually because the person with the comp can't go, besides my boredom hobby is chasing internet scams so thank you again, you woke up the sleeping giant.

Of course at this point for lack of research this is all speculation on my part so your decision needs to be based on your own experience with the company you booked this cruise with.
This wouldn't happen to be a gambling cruise out of Port Canaveral would it?

Did you go without the casino offer person, what happened?
