This may be the silliest question yet.......can I iron clothes in my cabin on the Navigator? Are irons available or should I bring one along? I am a bit of a wrinkle fanatic (pet peeve), though not on anyone but myself.....

Yes, please bring your own. We don´t like irons in the staterooms for security reasons.

Maybe I watched too many Irwin Allen films, but I thought cruise lines did not want one to bring travel irons because they are a fire hazard. I am thinking that hanging the clothes with the bathroom steam might do the trick -- or perhaps the ship's laundry could help? I did not see anything on the website. Maybe we could call customer service and see how many different answers we get. LOL. (See the other string about customer service. LOL)

See, I think the coffee pots everyone talks about bringing onboard and the curling irons are an even bigger fire hazard. You can have your clothes pressed onboard pretty cheaply. If you look at the cleaning prices listed it is only half that for press only.

they have them in the laundry rooms or you can send your stuff to be laundered. I asked them when I was there and could not get one. I guess it makes sense.

Erinm Royal Caribbean doesn' t have self serve laundry facilites on their ships so there are no irons. Everything would have to be sent out to be pressed...

teresa if you can find "Wrinkle Release" spray made by Downey, it works really well on wrinkles, even on t-shirts.. You can find it in the fabric soap/softener aisle in the store.

I'm with Ali on the Wrinkle release. If you have a Dollar General they also make it and it works great and cost less. Irons are dangerous on a ship and they are frowned upon.

I hate to admit this, but I'm one of the people who packs a small iron whenever I travel. Having said this though, I usually do only one ironing session and I am a fanatic about unplugging it and putting it on the shower floor to cool. I pack all of my clothes in plastic bags which I purchase from a local dry-cleaner. This really cuts down on the amount of clothes that wrinkle.
