Please don't think this is a stupid question :help but my husband and I will be traveling the Eastern Caribbean this October on the Mariner. And we were thinking of taking a cab to one of the beaches. Relax and have a few drinks. Now the question is, if the taxi drops you off will there be one to pick you up in a few hours? I realize that we could tell our cab driver, but would he forget about us? Yes, I'm new at this.

THanks for any advice.

There are never any stupid Questions..If you don't know???..Than if you do not ask from someone who does know , how can YOU help the next :newbie cruiser when you read the boards after you come back from your cruise???..Congratulations on your upcoming cruise..:wave welcome to the @ddicts board..There are cab drivers who will wait at the site for excursions but..more often they have cabbies constantly ferrying people back and forth..just set your price for the trip ( either one -way or Both ways) before you get IN the cab...Post any and all questions and there are tons of People to help.Help yurself to the main Community forum board too..we are a fun group...:grin....have a great time planning your cruise...:)..Joanne

I assume you are talking about St. Thomas and St. Martaan. There are plenty of cabs waiting at the pier and at the beaches. The cabdrivers know exactly when the cruise ships get into port and where tourists want to go. St. Martaan I recommend Orient Beach.

Thank you for the help. But, will the cab drivers be at the beach to pick us up when we are done? Do they cruise the beaches as well? Thanks again

Im sure you wont have a problem getting a cab back, and if you ask your driver to come back for you at a certain time, they will (especially if you dont pay them until they come back for you). But you have to negotiate all of your terms before you get in the car.

thanks. Its not that I wouldn't enjoy being stranded on a warm beach, :help but....We would like to finish the cruise.:wave
