hello everyone this is my husbands and my first cruise on Holiday out of mobile alabama can anyone tell me if and how to get beer on board without getting caught?
Here's a novel idea. Last may, I cruised on Mother's Day weekend. I giftwrapped a 12 pack of Corona and put a "mom" card on it. I tipped the steward $ and told him to keep it iced down. It was great to have in the room. I bought drinks when by the pool. Just used my "gift" when in the room.-D
what we did in the past might not help a new cruiser today- With the cruiselines cracking down on bringing our own non alcoholic beverages etc onboard.
If you indeed need to bring beer onboard Isuggest getting another suitcase and put it in there. give it to the porters to check in with your luggage.
No way will you get it on by carrying it with you when you check in
I have read if you fly to the port they will not check your bags
becuse they think TSA did that for them been on 7 ships got beer on all of them
whew?? Whaaaattt???
Because the laws for flying change from day to day-- flying with bottles of beer is hard today since you are only allowed a 50 pound weight limit for each bag==with a limit of 2 bags per person
=twocentsWhy crack a rib bringing beer I took 2 liters of hard stuff in my old plastic green army canteens and a bottle ao lemonciello in a gatorade bottle for my wife and it was no sweat.
Pop Cans are 1.50$ ice cold in the machine with plenty of free ice. If you can't even afford pop at 1.50$ you should stay home or mabey see a doctor you may have a serious drinking problem
Plus for all you first time cruisers you may think you will want to drink alot but once your on the open seas no mater what you take the motions will get to you sooner or later.
rolex...poster wasnt asking about soda. and a beer cost almost $5 by the time gratuity is added so that does add up pretty fast!! for someone who would like to drink several in a day! my husband wouldnt want the hard liquer you're talking about he would also just want beer.
i would like to sneak some on just because i know he would like to have as much beer as he could get!
Pack it in your checked luggage, been doing it for years with no problem. Also, tip your room steward a little extra and he will keep it iced down for you.
