AARP Discount with Carnival

Has any CA's ever had an AARP discount ? Does it only apply to certain sailings?
I thought one must book at least a Cat 6A for this. Before I call I just wanted to know
if anyone else has had this discount applied to their total cruise cost. Thanks!!

Yes, we have had an AARP discount on all of our three previous cruises, 2 inside and 1 balcony, so I don't think the category has anything to do with it. In fact, last year we got a discount for the rest of our group who aren't members. At any rate, be sure to mention it to your travel agent.
