Aloha Angie and Jean,
Hello again. We just got back from 2 weeks on the mainland. Whoops, I forgot, you guys are "mainlanders".
We spent a week in northern California and a week in Vegas. We had rotten weather the whole time, but had fun anyway. I figure that since we had bad weather for this trip, we should get great weather for the Zaandam cruise.
This will be our third time on a HAL ship. We got our docs yesterday and they do say 4 formal nights!
I'm no expert on proper attire. I used to own a bunch of suits, etc., but since we retired to Hawaii, I live in shorts & sandals! On our previous HAL cruises, I've just taken a sport coat and dress slacks for formal dinners. I've never felt out of place. There are always a few men in tuxs, most in suits and sport coats and a few in casual. Then there's always this one weird guy wearing a tie-dye t-shirt and blue jeans!

Just kidding. The women are dressed in similar fashion to the men. OK, maybe the women dress a bit spiffier than the guys.
Jean - London and Spain sounds great. You'll have to tell us all about it.
What do you think about all of us meeting on the aft deck when we sail to have a drink and get acquaiinted?
Lawrence
