[quote buck_i_chic]I am reading the Carnival reviews on this site and several others and have found that there are many unahppy Carnival cruisers. Dirty cabins, long lines and on and on.....what seems to be the problem?

A lot of the complaints are from Carnival's error with the Holiday and Sensation.  Carnival was dealing with an unknown.  They have never had ships sit for 6 months.   Huge pieces of complicated machinery that was out of its routine for 6 months will generate an unusual drydock and Carnival should have added 2 weeks onto their drydock schedule to compensate.

Long lines are to be expected on these cruise ships with over 2,000 folks on them.  Oddly enough, we have never had a problem with lines.  But perhaps that is because we ate at odd times.

As for other minor complaints, you can't ever tell if they are legit or just someone with a starfish up their fanny.  There is always going to be a percentage of people who nitpick about the cabin or the food or something.     Seasoned mature cruisers know how to roll with the flow.

I can only go on our family's experiences, (which as you can see) has been many.  We have cruised on all size ships during all different times of the year.   Some have been better than others, but not a bad one in the bunch.
