Who is "IN" for the Door Contest

Red - good idea on personalizing. I will have to think of a way to do that on both of our door hangings. :)

There are Thieves everywhere...what really irritates the fire out of me is that the Sun hung on our door All Week Long...and it was our last day at Sea and I was in and out of that door at least 4 times that morning, running to the Pursers office, the Internet, to get papers, etc...because Hurricane Wilma or Charlie (forget) was getting ready to pummel Florida and the Cruise Line gave everyone a free call to call their airline to see about changing their flights. So, long story short...It was on my 3rd trip back into the cabin that I saw it was missing. Just ticked me off to no end. Like I said, I need to get over it. :D

I was not thinking on these lines when I ordered something quite expensive for the "center piece" of our door decoration for this cruise. It came in and I loved how it turned out then realized that someone might steal it. So, I was able to find another fake cheap one....I just hope it doesn't break in the suitcase. The better one I am still able to use on my screen porch so it wasn't a waste of $$
 
or you back up whatever way you have it attached with fine fishing line..
string it over your door and anchor it on the other side as well.. or actually..NO NEED to anchor it, you can attach a nice piece of ribbon to it, toss that over the door to the inside, then tie the end of the ribbon to something round and wide enough that it will not just slip through the door crack.. think "pencil" only thicker.

The ribbon will alert the would be thief of the fact that it is attached somewhere. And if they still happen to give it a pull, it will not come through the door.. AND.. if you just happen to be in the cabin at the time, that "pencil" hitting the top of the door can bring you out in a hurry, so you might have the pleasure of telling the thief off.

I actually had the Wreath on the door held on by a string that ran over the top of the door and I had it tied to the door handle on the inside. If only I had thought to do that with the Sun, I would still have it. Ha!

I have the ball of string packed to go, and plan on doing that with my Crab for this cruise. Actually, I think I will put one of those GM stick on hooks on the inside, tie the string to that and add the pencil.

I was thinking of an extension cord with exposed contacts. To quote Emril Lagasse .... "BAM"
