Well, I finally came up with a "vision" for our door and my items are coming together. Only problem is, the "center piece" item that I ordered is really a bit large with luggage restrictions, and then I really wouldn't want it to comed "missing" off the door. So I was able to find a like item that was lightweight and not as expensive.....but fear it might break so it will have to be packed carefully.

So, who will be joining in on this traditional group cruise activity? It's a great way to find your cabin at a glance :lol :lol

I am glad you posted this, as it was on my mind.
we will do our door with at least a few things.. even though if there is a competition we will not be in it.
Hopefully more of you will do this fun thing.

We are decorating our door, but it is not contest worthy...more of a way to find our way home. :D

We can let you add ours to the contest, and W & E's....just so you have more doors to judge, if need be. :lol

Red - I will e-mail Julie and see if they are doing anything in regards to the doors. And to see if they've gotten their docs, I've not heard from her in a while. :)

I have no Imagination!1 I will put the cruise -addict sign but I wouldn't know what
else to put up.

Door decorating is important, not because you might win the contest, but it shows us several things:

1. It shows everyone quite easily where the other C/A'S are staying

2. You would be surprised at the attention it grabs from other passengers. On past cruises I have been known to wonder down the halls and I always see people looking at the door decor.

3. Although I know it's hard to believe, from time to time I get a little tipsy and the door decorating can help you find your room in a pinch.

All in all I guess it's all just part of the fun of the group cruise.

And someone got such a kick out of mine on the Mariner they stole it on our 2nd to last morning. :( I am hoping this time to secure it better.

Red - when you look on the Mosaic pictures, the little sun face thingy that I made, Cruise Cuties had sent me most of the things to make it with as she had bought in bulk. I'm still bumming out about it, after over 4 yrs. I need to let it go. :lol

I have made something similar for our door on the Jewel, but this time it is a crab...and for W & E's door...it is a foam sun face that I've made for their door. But, I have an idea, and it if works, it will keep someone from stealing it/them. I hope anyway...if they want it badly enough...they'll take it.

One way to help prevent this is to personalize things... someone can find little use for something with your names on it :lol

And a not to everyone.. do not use something that will cause pain if it is swiped.

On the HAL-O-Weenie cruise, I had made stained glass pumpkins for everyone ( it was a small group :) ) and one person hung it out on their cabin door. It was gone in a flash :(

I did make them a replacement one when I got home, but it really leaves a nasty feeling when you have people around you that do not respect other people's property.
