last time I was aboard RCCL there was a cover charge for Johnny Rockets and a charge for speciality drinks like malts, but the food was still included in your cruise price.
Im interested to know this too! I liked the chicken sandwiches and burgers we got from the grill area out near the pool on Princess. Can you get a burger out on deck (in the Solarium, where ever) on the RCI ships?
I assume the burgers are bigger and specially cooked and seasoned according to Johnny Rockets standards, while the Island Grille burgers are just a piece of beef grilled and put on a bun, but then again who really knows.
As I recall there is a cover charge for Johnny Rockets and you pay for some drinks (soft drinks, milk shake) but the food is free. Sorry, but I haven't been to Johnny Rockets on a Royal Caribbean ship since August 2004.
We've got a Johnny Rocket's in our town...The kids like to hang out there...I think they've got to make it a little more difficult just so the kids won't crowd the place and hang out there all day...
Personally, when I can go to the main dining room and feast on more interesting gourmet food, I don't know why I'd pay for a burger...or even eat a free one...
When first opened JR there was no charge for anything on the menu. Kids being kids ordered what ever they wanted and took one sip of milkshake, one or two bites of the food items and left an awfull lot of waste. The cover charge eliminated most of the missuse. It is well worth the couple of dollars cover charge if you are a lover of milkshakes, french fries, and onion rings. Try it...... you will like it!
I think I would rather have a burger outside on the deck in open air than eat inside
and having to pay. why pay when you can go some where else and have it free!!
