Usually alcholic bevs not allowed to be carried. (hide it in your suitcase well protected). Don't go crazy with lot's of stuff. I usually take a fifth of good Scotch and a bottle of wine for my wife. I wrap it in bubble wrap and tuck it snuggly in my sneakers in the middle of my suitcase. Just be careful over indulging on a ship at sea is not a very good idea. We have all heard the stories about those who have turned up missing and those stories usually involved alchohol. Also consider that there are times when we over indulge and .....well....act badly and embarass ourselves (lord knows I have been there a couple of times) The thing is you are on a ship and those same people are going to see you daily for the duration of the cruise and you didn't pay all that money to avoid them by hiding in your cabin. Drinks are not horribly expensive in the bars and lounges (about the same as you would find in any nightclub or bar on shore).
