Woo Hoo three whole days off in a row!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They are saying a slight chance of stray thundershowers here this weekend. We are painting I guess we will just have to take the chance. I just want to get that deck in shape it looks like crappe.

We need to get some food in the house and do the Big Lots run. And I need to stain the rail road ties around my flower garden. It will be a busy weekend outside this weekend with weeding and fertilizing and mowing and painting.

And I need to go to the garden shop to get some hangers for work.

So what are you doing this weekend?

I was born and raised in Indianapolis so my favorite sporting event is The Indianapolis 500. It's like my superbowl & world series rolled in to one. I work on Saturday but I'll be up bright and early on Sunday to watch all the festivities. TV coverage starts at 8AM here in the western time zone.

Go Danica :thumb

Two of our table mates on the Millie live near us, and Tamara grows orchids. She has hundreds of them, so we are going to her house this weekend to oooh and aaah all through her green house.

Even with gas prices so high I am going to see my dd, sil and Lillian! I haven't seen Lillian in almost 2 months. I don't know what is planned for us there but I don't really care!

Hope everyone has a great holiday weekend.

Spending some time on the beach, one of the nice things about living in Myrtle Beach, don't have to drive here.

Just going to do tons of laundry -- plant lots of flowers -- have a lot of bushes that need trimmed.

Other than that - not much.

What am I doing? I am just going to putter around the house and town. :)

BostonsJ - I may go to Big Lots, thanks for the reminder!!

Conniecat - Get well soon!!! =hug

MBandy - I'm a Hoosier, too. Yippee!!

Globug - enjoy the orchids. I have one and am quite pleased with how easy they are to grow. I never knew, and was quite intimidated by them, but now I am not and am even thinking about getting another.

Ewheelock - enjoy your trip.

Cruise cutie - I will be thinking of you while you work so hard this weekend. Take care of yourself!

JEM - I would love to be on the beach. Please say Hi to Clair for me.

Krazy Kruisers - enjoy your day!!

Not sure - still on my first cuppa! lol

Going to the local flea market and out shopping - Jim of course is golfing! lol

Going to a Rib cookout tonight.

Our 3 day weekend doesnt start till tomorrow as John works today, will go to Territory Days tomorrow, help my son finish painting his foyer today,he is on a 10 day vacation and had no where to go so he put hardwood in 2 more rooms, bought a new door for his computer room and we are finally painting his foyer, its real tall but we bought one of those long pole thingees and are hoping for the best, not looking forward to his color choice, red, red wine,as I know it will take several coats! Also going to see Iron Man at the new Hollywood theatre we just got here, thats about it,other than grilling!

Hope everyone has a great weekend doing what they want to do. I'll be.......working. Plain and simple.

Not really a holiday weekend around here since both dd and dh are working (retail). I did get some nice produce, hot dogs and buns in for dinner on Monday and today made a big pot of ratatouille. Other than that it's cleaning and the usual for me here.

Hope everyone has a nice weekend and those of you who are working =hug

Ya know Corky I still get chills when I hear Jim Neighbors singing "Back Home Again In Indiana" before the race.

Susan is also from Indiana and a graduate of both IU (Masters) and Perdue (Bacholers). She is in South Bend this weekend for her Niece's HS graduation. Her Niece will continue on to my Alma Mater, Ball State.

My oldest stepson came for a visit, so he and I declared war on all the Virginia Creeper vines that decided to take over my yard, then we went around the whole yard cutting small mulberry trees. We have a huge back yard and live two blocks from the Arkasas River, so every bird in the world flies over and drops multitudes of seeds back there. Then, they all grow. AARRRGGGHHH! That guy is the best possible stepson anybody could be lucky enough to have, and I tell him often. My granddaughter, whom I haven't seen in 7 years was here last night, so I've had a great holiday weekend so far.
