I'm sorry, but I find this statement rather difficult to believe, especially from a first-time poster whose ONLY post is this one.

 

MOST PEOPLE HAD NORWALK VIRUS??  Which cruise??  If "most people" were ill on a ship, you can be certain it would be plastered all over the news.

The CDC shows two Norovirus outbreaks this year, neither of which were on Westerdam.

 

If you were properly covered with travel insurance, it would cover your medical costs on board.

 

"Most of the patients were both crew and cruisers".  Who else would the doctor be treating?   The doctor and medical staff aboard ANY ship are there primarily to treat the crew.  Secondarily, they treat passengers.  Of course, should a medical emergency arise, they are there STAT.

 

If any of your party were indeed ill, I'm sorry.   But the rest of the story is VERY suspect.
