I am thinking about booking a cruise to the bahamas/mexico in January and my wife was a little concerned about the weather and water temp. Anyone have any insight on this? Thanks

If you go to Carnival's website, you can click on the link for each port where it gives avg temp. I believe most of Mexico has highs 85-90 (from memory). we are going on glory in jan

We jhave sailed January,February and November. In most cases the water temp can be higher than the air temp. On one stop to Cozumel, the water temp was 83 and the air temp was only 80. Water temps tends to stay steady year round.

Caribbean weather in January will be only a few degrees cooler than at other times of the year. The Bahamas, now that can be a different story. I recall going to Half Moon Cay in December and temps were in the low 70's for a high, almost too cool to get into the water (a lot of folks didn't).

We went to the Bahamas in January and while the weather was lovely and warm, the water wasn't! It was just too cold to swim for me, but we still had a wonderful time.
At a weather site I frequent it listed Nassau's average January temp. for 2005 as 76 degrees. Average mean temperature 71 degrees. Daytime high for January was 82, daytime low 68.
