The Chicago Bears start the quest for the SUPERBOWL tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!!:thumb

I never have good luck with hometown football teams. I lived in the Tampa Bay area when the Buccaneers were the losingest team in all of professional sports around the world. Then I moved to Phoenix :lol

I did live in Phoenix when the D-Backs won the World Series though.

My Redskins already started during the Hall of Fame weekend, and were rather convincing too! WOO HOO ! ! !

I'm not sure when the Cardinals start, but I surmise you all won't have to worry about them being SuperBowl contenders. :(

But they do have a fantastic stadium :thumb

Which we now "affectionately" call the UPS stadium (University of Phoenix Stadium). BTW, they play the New Orleans Saints tonight.

The news is just saying that Las Vegas had some serious storms with delays at McCarren....

You know Mary Ann, out here on the west side it got really dark, windy and cooled off a bit. It all blew right over us, we didn't get a drop of rain in Summerlin but it looked like it was raining pretty good down in the valley. The "isolated" thunderstorms are always "isolated" to someplace other than where I am.

Hubby's watching the Browns downtown right now. I assume the thunderstorm with the hail and fifty mile per hour wind gusts must not have been as bad as the TV made it look, cause he didn't give up and come home. But then you gotta be tough to be a Brown's fan.

Summerlin is a beautiful area, Mike. We're under the gun right now for thunderstorms - surrounded by them. Remains to be seen if Scottsdale is the lucky area to get some rain. ;)

Haven't been interested enough to find out how our Cardinals are doing. Earlier on, they were tied at 7-7 with New Orleans.
