We are leaving on Friday on VOS. This will be out 17th cruise. First time on Royal Caribbean. We have been on Celebrity and Carnival many times. Went on Norweigan Dawn in Feb. which is the only cruise I would NOT recommend! A few things I have wondered about: do they have the shampoo and conditioner dispensers in the shower? Also, I am sure this topic has been exhausted, but has anyone ever snuck booze on board?

Hey Karry.

You'll LOVE Voyager of the Seas! I was on her last May, on Navigator Last Fall and Explorer the year before that. Awesome ships :thumb

Yes to shampoo/conditioner and soap dispenser in the shower. (round showers) makes you feel like you're in the transporter room on Starship Enterprise) :ufo

I always pack a bottle of something to drink in my checked baggage. Never a problem with that. :cheers

Make sure you get your Ice Show tickets early (they're free but you need a ticket to get in) Ice show was the best!! =funsign Also if you want to eat at the specialty restaurant Portifino make those reservations early too :chef

Have a GREAT cruise!!

Karry.. I litterally cannot add anything to what Mike just said. Your words are chosen well Mike.

Now, for this booze stuff. The expression is beating a dead horse. Well, There is no more horse to beat anymore.

the question is not "has anyone snuckted, sneakted, snookted booze on board, the ? is, how much can you get away with. Read the fine print on your tickets. You'll know if your doing something wrong.

Again, enjoy Voyager of the Seas. She is a true marvel. If you can, make some time to watch the making of the Voyager class ships in your stateroom. You'll see what I mean.

One true wonder....so that today's ships do not ruin the natural reef in all ports that have sensative reefs to protect, she will not drop anchor to hold postion, but she will use GPS sensors to hold the ships postion. Even in storms. This is only for starters. Have a good cruise.

Madamt, I was on voyager last may, and we brought a bottle of champagne, and a bottle of vodka, I wrapped the bottles in bubble wrap then put them in large ziplock baggies and put them inbetween clothes, middle of the checked suite cases. and they arrived with no problem. I will do this the same way this may on Mariner.

I just pack the bottle in the section of my luggage with socks and underwear. So far I've never broken one yet. :cheers

Interesting to see this post back at the top. Wondering how Karry enjoyed VOS :?

I think she is Mike. That technology still absolutely blows me into the stratosphere. Can you imagine a cruise ship holding it;s pinpoint position anywhere on the planet using nothing but GPS? I believe we have United States technology to thank for that one.

Was very amazing first time I saw that the Navigator was doing this in one of our western Caribbean ports to keep the ship stationary. Our groups opinion was (and possibly backed-up the the tender operator, can't remember) That the captain was just doing this to "show-off" to the crew of ships from "other cruise lines" in the same port that day.
