What a fascinating itinerary if it’s in your budget! We crossed the bridge back from the States on Friday and after sighting this cruise ship and a bit of searching, discovered it was the 2022 new Viking Polaris which had sailed from Duluth and would eventually reach us in Toronto on September 26th. Sailing on all five Great Lakes including Georgian Bay, at least two sets of locks and incredible stops like MacKinac Island, Niagara Falls, and big cities as well as the wilds of Killarney….wow…(. Sorry the pic isn’t better through the car window facing into the sun. (Not a sales rep but would love a commission on the price of that one LOL! Here’s the full itinerary… https://www.vikingcruisescanada.com...akes-canada/great-lakes-collection/index.html)90322059-521D-4186-84B0-5BD62F04FEF7.jpeg28B7A0D3-D813-4431-821F-76B9FE58E110.jpeg

As a Canadian I have for years been looking at all the options that turn up on the Great Lakes. There are more options now than ever and I would think that a lot of the trips to Cities on the US nad Canada side would be fine expeditions. Add in the Welland Canal and up through to Lake Superior on a nice ship would kinda be very nice. I did some swimming in Lake Ontario as kid. Pretty cold. But getting round into Lake Huron and the Beaches up there would be OK ..Sandy and warm. Not quie the caribbean but close in the hot months. Just another lottery win away of course.

That is a very interesting itinerary, with a sister living in Canada, we have done the welland canal, went swimming in lake Ontario ( me) lol.. and was fortunate enough to do a sailboat trip along the Rideau canal. So familiar with water temps lol
I would love to do this one

You certainly are a tough one to endure Lake Ontario… brrrrrrrrr. Now Lake Erie is much warmer as it is shallower but with that comes even more pollution, so Hobsons choice! But yes, that itinerary is a good one for an upper budget cruiser.
