Vidalia Onion Pie

3 Cups Thinly Sliced Vidalia Onions (can use sweet yellow onions)
3 TBLS Butter
1/2 Cup Milk
1 1/2 Cups Sour Cream
3 TBLS Flour
1 tsp Salt
2 Beaten Eggs
6 Slices Cooked Bacon-Crumbled

1 Baked and Cooled Deep Dish Pie Shell

Cook onion in butter until browned. Put into bottom of pie shell. Sprinkle with
crumbled bacon.

Mix rest of ingredients thoroughly and pour over top.

Bake at 325 degrees for 45 mins to 1 hour or until set.

It is, Nieciez. It is so sweet. A side of asparagus, or a small salad, steamed broccoli, any green for that matters, tops it off. :smile:

A Variation that I do is....cut 5 cups of onions...and in the liquid batter, add another 1/2 cup of sour cream and 3 extra tablespoons of flour....then assemble it all in 2 Regular Pie Shells...pre-baked of course.

I do this whenever I do not have deep dish shells and it works out great.
