Forever Remembered
From all the reports I'm receiving, Judi and Mal will henceforth be referred to as Step-Mama Duck and Step-Papa Duck for the great job they did in my behalf. I can't thank them enough for helping me, especially on such short notice. But, having been close friends for many, many years, I knew they were up to the task.

We are home and unpacked after a delay at JFK on the tarmac.

It was a great cruise - so enjoyed meeting and talking with fellow Ducks and sorry for the few that we missed chatting with! Big Thanks to Judi & Mal for the superb hosting job they did filling in for Mama Duck - lots of Duck stuff which we enjoyed and our cat Lulu sends a big thank you for her new friends!

We had a great time and are so glad we went with you all!

We are still in New York but will be home tomorrow.
I also want to thank Judi and Mal for the wonderful job they did filling in
For Mama Duck. If I didn't know better I would have sworn that they had done this before.
It was a pleasure meeting all the ducks and hope to sail with you all again.
Mama Duck. I want to thank you for all of your hard work and I especially can't wait to sail with you

QUACK - QUACK !!! Made it back to Virginia. SunFlower just arrived in Phoenix with the gurls. Everyone sends hugs and best wishes.

Mama Duck was sorely missed. Mal D. Olive and Judi did a superb job of substituting for Queen Quack. Appropriate titles could justly be: Crown Prince and Princess.

Great time was had by all and no bail was forefit!!! Yay!

The Veendam (and her crew) will long remember - The Ducks!

Need sleep now. The tall tales can start tomorrow ... One wurd of disclaimer though ... they're all lying. Calgon wuz good. Enforcer Duck too. Peep-pull luv duckers ...

We are home, finally! It's about three and a half hours late and is now 2:30 am Bermuda time, so no wonder we're exhausted. We were delayed leaving Newark and had mechanical problems (faulty airspeed indicator) in Dallas so we were reallllllyyyy late getting home. Thanks again to our Step-Mama Duck and Step-Papa Duck for doing such a wonderful job, and thanks to all our fellow Ducks for making our cruise and Vow Renewal so memorable.

Never met an olive I didn't like
Thanks all for your kind words! Though we could never measure up to May Ann's level of service, we did our best to host as Mama Duck would have wanted. It was more than a pleasure meeting the new DIT's now DUCKS, and reconnecting with old friends "DUCKS" as well.
Now all we have left to do, is send tons of QUACKS to our Mama Duck to get her back in good health!

Yours in Olives “Not Capers”
Mal D.

We are finally home and totally wiped out, lol We had a nice relaxing day Sunday just sitting around watching TV in our room by the airport. It was nice to have a little down time after an eventful cruise. No huge layovers like getting in to New York and we are very thankful for that. Jacquie, I am so so sorry that you had airplane problems once again. You guys really had a horrible time with flying this time. It was our pleasure and honor to be at your renewal of vows. It was a wonderful ceremony.

Mama Duck I have a picture that I will send you in response to Calgon's statement. All in all he was a very good duck, just a couple of little naughty things, lol

I am going to miss our nightly meeting at the Martini Bar. It was a great place for most everyone to come and chat about their day or come by to say hello. This was the best group that I have cruised with by far!!

Thanks to all the Ducks how made this cruise one of our best ever! We missed you Mama Duck and hopefully we will get to meet you in December when we go to Scotsdale.

Be it ever so humble...but yes we are HOME! I disembarked the ship carrying something I did not want...the common cold! It was bad enough so that we cancelled plans to attend a theatre matinee on Sunday. I did not want to get kicked out of the theatre because coughing and sneezing and nose blowing were interfering with everyone elses enjoyment. Instead we poked around Rockefeller Centre for a while, had a bite to eat and then headed over to New Jersey to collect our bags from our marvellous land based hosts Jennifer and Todd (Janet's daughter and SIL) and crashed at our airport hotel. We were up at 4am to get to our 7am flight back to Vancouver and then it was wait another 6 hours for our connection home...not many connections from Vancouver to our little town! But we did arrive safe and sound though snuffly!

We thoroughly enjoyed the cruise .... though due to previous plans and reservations we had to miss a couple of events that we would have otherwise been delighted to attend.

Mary Ann...we did miss you so much and hope you are on your way to feeling sooooo much better.

It was wonderful to meet up with some old friends and to have the opportunity to meet some new and wonderfully generous people! My heart is full!!

Thank you Mamma Duck and all of the DUCKS that sailed this on voyage. A very special thanks to Judi and to Mal who so ably stepped in on short notice to make sure that all of the events that were planned took place without hiccups.....well Mal of course had Olive hiccups but what can a DIT do???

Looking forward to sailing again with all of you .... one day in the not so far away future!!

As Mal said earlier, thank you for the kind words.

No one can take Mama Duck's place, as those of you who have already had the pleasure know, but we did our best to make it a fun trip for everyone...I know we sure had fun.

We enjoyed meeting new Friends and reconnecting with old Friends. Jeanie and Rick, it was especially great to see Jacquie & Leon's and Janice & Steve's faces when you walked in!

Judi, that was some surprise to see Jeanie and Rick on the cruise! I am very hard to surprise and they pulled it off. Thanks to Mama Duck for keeping the secret and also to all who knew and kept quiet. This was a special surprise as Jacquie, Leon, Jeanie, Rick and Steve and I were table mates on our first Addicts cruise, CLASS, and this was the first time that we all got to cruise together again. It was a very special time that I will always remember.
