Be it ever so humble...but yes we are HOME! I disembarked the ship carrying something I did not want...the common cold! It was bad enough so that we cancelled plans to attend a theatre matinee on Sunday. I did not want to get kicked out of the theatre because coughing and sneezing and nose blowing were interfering with everyone elses enjoyment. Instead we poked around Rockefeller Centre for a while, had a bite to eat and then headed over to New Jersey to collect our bags from our marvellous land based hosts Jennifer and Todd (Janet's daughter and SIL) and crashed at our airport hotel. We were up at 4am to get to our 7am flight back to Vancouver and then it was wait another 6 hours for our connection home...not many connections from Vancouver to our little town! But we did arrive safe and sound though snuffly!
We thoroughly enjoyed the cruise .... though due to previous plans and reservations we had to miss a couple of events that we would have otherwise been delighted to attend.
Mary Ann...we did miss you so much and hope you are on your way to feeling sooooo much better.
It was wonderful to meet up with some old friends and to have the opportunity to meet some new and wonderfully generous people! My heart is full!!
Thank you Mamma Duck and all of the DUCKS that sailed this on voyage. A very special thanks to Judi and to Mal who so ably stepped in on short notice to make sure that all of the events that were planned took place without hiccups.....well Mal of course had Olive hiccups but what can a DIT do???
Looking forward to sailing again with all of you .... one day in the not so far away future!!
