Two good cruise websites to hang on to

There are a few great web sites that we use very frequently.## They may not be the first ones that come to mind, on anyone’s top ten list or bear the title “award winning” but have good functionality and are reliable.
Fort Lauderdale webcam is perched on top of the Hyatt Pier 66, a classic pre or post-cruise hotel that we have yet to try. I like that it is live, streaming HD video 24 hours a day. Our friend Jim in Overland Park, Kansas sent us this the other day and it reminded me of when we lived in Kansas not all that long ago.# In the dead of the winter I was always looking for any live cam to take a look at rather than looking out the window at snow and cold. Another great webcam is the Port Everglades Inlet cam which rose to its peak of popularity when Royal Caribbean‘s then-new Oasis of the Seas made her way to her custom-built pier for the first time several years ago, to be followed by sister-ship Allure of the Seas shortly thereafter.# Twitter users @HyattPier66 is a good one to follow too
CruiseDeckPlans has access to deck plans for most cruise ships we might sail on via free public access and a members-only function that offers even more.# The recent trend of cruise lines to not have easy to see deck plans but the new graphically enhanced plans that make locating a cabin difficult asks of their designers “Don’t these people ever need to look at a deck plan?” and CruiseDeckPlans answers with easily readable plans on most lines.# Their website explains it best:
CruiseDeckplans.com was founded as “CruiseStateroom.com” in 2001 by Dominique Vaccaro a passionate cruise ship and old liner enthusiast since his childhood.# He was concerned that only a few web sites provided a helpful and practical search for obtaining and visualization of cruise ship deck plans and staterooms available.# Those that did, usually offered very little interactivity to find the configuration and location of a stateroom.# One would get lost and perhaps bored by the opening of dozens of pop-up windows searching for information.# That is why this site came into existence.# To help visitors, first time or experienced cruise customers or travel agents search and find, through an easy to use and complete interface, the stateroom that would be best for their tastes, means or requests.# For CruiseDeckplans.com the objective is to help everyone to search and obtain fast, complete and reliable information on staterooms aboard cruise ships.#
