Just wondering what travel insurance company do you use? We have always used Travel Ex.
Are there cheaper or better companies to use ? All opinions welcome.

I recommend that you look at the "Trip Insurance Store". Their site looks very basic by today's standard, but they only provide quotes from vetted insurance companies and if you have any questions do not be surprised if you get a response from the owner. Excellent service since I started using them exclusively a couple years ago.

I always try to buy the best policy we can afford with the highest level of cover. My wife has a chronic illness so insurance can be expensive. We get around that by offering to boost the excess which keeps the premiums down massively. Furthermore, we always buy from a reputable company - a well known insurance brand and never let the policy auto-renew. The price always goes up for the same level of cover! Always shop around every year - assuming that you are buying an annual policy!
