Transportation to Rome from pier

We are looking for transportation to Rome from the pier, after our cruise. We are seniors and a lot of walking especially with luggage will be hard. We have a place booked in Rome but we have to find the best way to get there. The next day we will need to get to the airport

if you take the train--which is very inexpensive--there is not only alot of walking but if it's the end of your cruise then you have to carry your luggage quite a lot.

Taxi or limo or the transfer shuttle from your cruiseship costs about 80 bucks per person.
