a deck just for topless sunbathing on the Conquest ?? AND what about in Jamaica..I hear alot fo their area is topless - is it possible to find a somewhat discreet/private area while there?

I can't tell you about Jamaica but all Carnival ships have a topless deck.

Okay...just to clarify, the topless decks are usually located on a smaller deck below the funnel, also, this is an tops Optional deck actually.
Were talking tops guys and gals, not a nudity deck. Not being sarcastic, some previous posters started threads regarding this. Well, anyhow, remember these words of wisdom, "A bad cruise is always better then a bad day at work!!" :lol

Be advised it is not a " topless " deck---it is a " tops optional " deck. There is a difference. It is open to the general public and not a private deck for ladies who wish to be without a top. There are no minors allowed there but beyond that it is, as I said, a deck open to the general public.

This happened to me while we were docked in Jamaica once, there were a good 6 girls on deck (some of the ships dancers too), a couple of guys by themselves sunbathing and some guys with their wifes/girlfriends... and in comes this guy and starts walking around. He must have been like 65 or so. HE DID NOTHING BUT WALK AROUND... shees!
I later saw the man with who I believe was his wife, and she was talking of how much she enjoyed the shore tour... I wondered if the nasty ol' pervert spoke of how much he enjoyed the "view from the funnel deck"

I am not sure if your post is directed to me or not but if you read my post you will see that I said that the deck is TOPS OPTIONAL--not TOPLESS. It does not ban anyone, male or female from being there. It does ban cameras and minor children.
To sunbathe there you do NOT have to take off a top---it merely means that if you do wish to have a top off then that is the area to do so.
It is indeed a public deck and men have as much right there as you or anyone else. I say again, it is NOT a private deck for ladies and or their companions, as you seem to think.
If you don't want some hairy old dude looking , then stay on a private balcony, not a public deck.

thanks for the info... i understand its tops OPTIONAL and a PUBLIC deck; however, i have to agree with gigi.....i don't care for someone up there to stare. that's NOT the reason i sunbathe topless. if some old man wants to look...why not go to a topless bar or rent a movie!!!! lol

Well....I can tell you why a man (old or otherwise) doesn't not go to a topless bar or rent a movie....he's on a frigging CRUISE SHIP! There ARE no topless bars, silly!
Having said that....c'mon girls...if you're old enough to be on that deck you're old enough to know that men enjoy seeing women in various stages of undress. If you choose to reveal yourself in an area that is not private, then IMO you forego your right to be miffed when someone looks.
And for whoever said "ewwwwww" about an "old man" looking. Do you also think "ewwwww" when the guy is 28 and buff? And do you NOT think "ewwwww" if there's a 70-year-old woman sunbathing topless?

Actually I'm so old I can't climb up the stairs to get to the area in question so I always have two semi-nude, bronzed, muscle bound young men carry me up there on my lounger. Then while the ladies are ogling these guys, I leer, drool, slurp and gasp at the ladies. Then they cart me away back down the stairs til the next day.

It might be a public deck but why don't we just respect the people that want to go up there and sunbath, some topless, some not, whether they be male or female. Isn't there enough for people to do without intruding, and yes I feel like it is intruding if all you are doing is going up there to ogle the women. Hey I'm no prude having spent years on the west coast and gone to some nude beaches, and one thing you learn very quick is to respect everyone.
