I bought a Black and decker toaster oven a while back and have hated it ever since. It toasts ok but the thing was put together with glue! I should have returned it the first week i bought it, but it was one of those things that time went by and it ended up being too late. The darn knobs fall off when you turn them to change degrees of toasting or baking. It is now acting up and turns off in the middle of a cycle, so I want to buy anothertoaster/oven.Can anyone suggest one that they have and like? I don't mind if it is Black and Decker as long as it isn't this model!!

i just bought a black and decker and i'm very pleased with it. it's all buttons so there are no knobs that can fall off. it's also convection, which i love . i don't see any model number on it, but on the glass door it says 12" pizza capacity / convection. the other thing i like about it is that it's pretty big.

Dont have a toaster oven but have a OLD pizza oven,I have found the older the appliance the better, they built them better! This pizza oven has got to be 25 years old at least and still works great along with all its parts,so maybe go to a Thrift store and find an old one that still looks nice!

I had toaster ovens for years and always like them. The last one was a B&D Undercounter model. BUT I wanted something that would bake a good sized item and the undercounter didn't and the other countertop models that would were to big. SO, I ended up getting a Maytag Gemni over. The small oven on top is GREAT for heating up a slice of pizza or cooking a casserole or baking baked potatoes and doesn't take long to heat up. I rarely use the regular sized lower oven. I know that isn't the solution for everyone but it worked for me. Now I have a normal 2 sliced toaster.

Wow I'm surprised because I have had great luck with Black and Decker toaster ovens. Mine have really lasted. That is what I am using now and have not had any problems at all with it.

I think I have your stove, Denise. It's a Maytag Gemini with a small oven on top. Like you, we use the smaller oven for everything. It has a "toast" feature, so I don't even need a toaster! I have a small kitchen, so I really like saving the counter space.
