Too kool I bet it will be great when finished. You will have to show us pictures.

I know the feeling about the getting around to. We had a very small deck enough for a couple of chairs and a table. Well three years ago someone moved out and left their deck which was built exactly like our deck and twice as large. Mike called the office and they said it isn't considered abandoned until 30 days have passed, but it is yours if they don't come for it.

On the 30th day Mike got the call you need to get it out of there today. Mike had no one to help him so he went to Home Depot, rented one of those rack trucks for 25.00 an hour. Backed up to the deck pulled it on with some tool he owns, drove the 1/2 mile down the street, backed up to our deck and pulled it off. I was a perfect match height wise etc. All he had to do is use jackes to move it a foot or so closer to our deck, and then hook it together. But, it was a funky color white I think it had a gray pigment, and had some gray around the spindles and along the rail. You know battleship gray? :grin First year OK we were going to paint didn't. Last year bought the paint didn't get to it. I finally said it is getting painted and that happened this weekend. It isn't really a deck it is more like a porch with spindles but has the redwood base. What a job. But hey for 25.00 for the truck rental and a gallon of primer and one of paint we have a new deck. Can't complain about that! This weekend we stain the deck floor to match the house. And then, my flowers go up and I get my chair pads.

Good luck with the building project. I know it is labor intensive but so much enjoyment when it is done.

They were eating Buster Bars from Dairy Queen when I snapped this photo. They deserved a treat. :lol

Looks like it's going to be awesome.

DH wants to remove our deck and put in cobblestone pavers. I told him next year, but I want an outdoor kitchen too. He said OK. :)
