The week before the trip I am ecstatic. Two days before we leave I'm crazy with excitment. The day we leave still excited. The 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th days are just great. The 5th day a slow depression starts creeping in. The 6th day is a sad day knowing I have to leave the next day. The 7th day is an awful and depressing day, driving to the airport for that long flight and then drive home. Once home, unpack, wash clothes, lay around and be grumpy.

I discovered how to avoid PCD ages ago......be sure you have another cruise booked before you leave that ship...Princess makes it so easy :grin !

=yeah I'm with Beryl my "Sistah Princess Sistah".. as in we :grin have it down to an ART!!.. we also tend to be a bit snippier and have ours be 10 dayers to avoid those short counts.. but I know when we have our Thanksgiving family cruise I am going to be right there!!,,=cry...Joanne

You pretty much nailed it down. We have our first 10 day cruise booked so we can see how the "middle" goes. ;)

True, true, true...that's me. We never do more than 7 days. Well, once a 9-night repo. The first day or two it was too chilly to be outside (NYC Oct/Nov). Then it was a regular 7 day cruise.

I won't do the laundry for at least a week. I won't even unpack! That finalized "being home."
