My poor baby. He can't have any food or drink after midnight. He is still wild enough that he gets frantic over food, so this will be hard on him, but I will be glad to have it over with. Only thing that could change it is his lump. It is almost gone, but if it looks like it is not totally shrunken, they will postpone it. I asked what about the antibiotics, and they never answered, so I will be taking them with me, he is supposed to have them until Friday.

At one point, even after I started the medicine, the lump grew to almost the size of a ping pong ball. I was going to call the doc again, but in the morning it had gotten smaller.

You know, since the antibiotics have made it go away, that means it was an infection. I wonder if that means if I had not taken him in, he could have died? *shudders*

I have photos I am working on. Will post later. cc

ps forgot to add, I just got home from my doctor. All he said was to take an extra dose of diuretics. It is just edema. But, he didn't offer any suggestions as to what to do with the 2 places still giving me trouble. He did enjoy the kitten photos, tho. I told him Simon was the culprit!

Good luck to Simon. (and you and the other cats while he can't have any food!!)

Please give little Simon some scritches from his Auntie Mary Ann, and tell him that Pucci - who's no stranger to surgery - sends him tail wags.

Of course, we wish his Mommy well, too!

I remember withholding food for my two kittens before surgery and it is heartbreaking. I don't know why they make them fast so long.

Just remember that hopefully this is probably the worst appointment at the vet for the both of you. From now on its just wellness checks and immunizations. Tell Simon that. LOL.

That lump was pretty nasty being that large.

I hope your condition improves as well.
