And the final one

The winner was a four year old child whose next door neighbor was an elderly gentleman who had recently lost his wife.

Upon seeing the man cry, the little boy went into the old gentleman's yard, climbed onto his lap, and just sat there.

When his Mother asked what he had said to the neighbor, the little boy said,

'Nothing, I just helped him cry'

I love reading what children have to say. I got a chuckle out of most, but the last one brought a tear to my eyes.

Thanks for posting these MaryAnn.

Kids do say the Darndest things. They can make you laugh and cry at the same time! The last one is definitely pure love!

What wise little ones. Too bad that they grow up and the world changes them.

I've worked in a group home for mentally challenged women now for about 20 years. After I went through chemotherapy I wore scarves out in public all the time, but sometimes when I went to work at the home I went totally bald cuz I felt very comfortable there. Well, one of the ladies, who can not speak at all and plays very rough at times, use to pull my hair any time I put my guard down. One day she came over next to my chair, where I was working on the computer, and she stared at my head for a very long time. soon she began rubbing my smooth head very gently. she knew that something was very different and she was just letting me know that it was OK. Ever since that day she always greets me by coming up and softly caressing my hair and then giving me a sweet bear hug. I truly love those gals, they love unconditionally every day of their lives.

Hugs, Mariposa
