Oh thankfully Friday is here. This week started out slowly at work but by Wednesday we were spinning and yesterday I didn't know if I was coming or going.

A terrible tragedy last night with the shooting at the City Council meeting near St. Louis. My thoughts are going out to all the families. There are just so many nut cases out there now you just never know.

Just before the evening commute last night a major highway developed a sink hole when a big water pipe underneath broke. The sink hole is 40 feet wide and 16 feet deep. Thankfully no one drove into it. Well the traffic was diverted around that area of the highway creating heavy traffic on the surface roads. I couldn't believe the mess when I left work last night. Thankfully I was going in the opposite direction of the traffic created by the detoured traffic.

Because of the blowing snow and heavy snow falling the roads leading in and through the mountains are closed this morning. You can't get to the ski resorts because the blizzard conditions required all of the roads to close. I'm glad the snow stayed in the mountains. The spring thaw ought to be interesting. They have so much snow in the high country.

It is supposed to be 50 here tomorrow. I'll vote for that. Not much on the agenda for the weekend. One of Mike's buddies may visit tomorrow. I hope he doesn't want to stay overnight I really was looking forward to a quiet weekend.

Well one more day of labor and then the weekend is ours to enjoy. Everyone make it a great day!

Good Morning Judy and afters to follow.

We got a dusting of snow here today. Colder and supposed to get more snow as the weekend goes on. Sounds like by Sunday and I will hunkered in for the day! lol

Put new lining in my kitchen cabinets. Got 8 done last night and need to finish the rest this weekend. Jim washed down all the cabinets and doors and took everything out for me - - so that helped alot. We were both tired last night.

Nothing on the agenda tonight. Tomorrow I am going shopping and out to luch with Kristi. Then Sunday I am hitting the sofa with a couple movies and a blanket! lol Gonna throw something in the crockpot - - so guess I better get to looking tonight for something! lol

Talked to Nathan on the phone last night. He was so funny. When I called I could tell soemthing was wrong. He had this sad, winey voice and he never does that. So, I asked "What's wrong buddy". He says he is said because he can't hang up his towel. He went to explain he was told to put the white side up and then pull till you see the picture and he can't do it. So, I siad - - you are grounded because you can't hang up your towel. He cracked up laughing and says - - No, I don't get grounded! lol I about burst. Come to find out - he was hanging his towel on the rack - - he was just getting upset because it wasn't straight! lol Colleen says she doesn't care how it looks - - as long as it is off the floor! lol You gotta love them grand babies! lol

Also in Ohio a teacher was shot in the classroom by her husband -- she survived -- her husband committed suicide.

Morning all!!! Grey morning here temp at 31. Well only 2 more week ends to get thru before we head to Fl. Course we will hve Nascar to watch both of those Sundays.. Paw is trying to change a couple of Dr's appts as they are only a day apart and we don't want to have to go into springfield that often. He has yet to drive in that heavier traffic. I have a plan for a girls day out next Tuesday, shoppi g, lunch maybe even a stop for a pedicure. Good tohave something like that to look forward too.

:dance I am in the first day off of a 3 day weekend, I am whumped, and I am so glad to be home..by the time I got home at 8:30 last night.. I was so totally drained. another 102 hour 2 week total of hours amassed.....my last eleven days of work I had 2 seperate one days off.. and believe me they are the wipe out ones..the single day off only allows me to catch up, get a breath, then regroup.. this weekend is all about doing *only* what I want ,not going to be whamming full tilt on my house that's for sure..

I had to make FIVE backup 30 foot curve swings from my driveway, and then gun it up, back up, gun it further up the hill etc.. at my hill yesterday before I crunched down the 13 inches of snow we had gotten overnight to go to work at 6:30 in the AM.. after I got up the hill I had to make a right turn DOWN the hill ..sigh I was so HOT! by the time I hit the main drag a 1/2 mile later that FINALLY was plowed.. I waited till today to call the chief of Police and Towm Manager..I went to school with them..=grrr. shall have a quiet polite discussion about medical staff and HAVING TO GET TO WORK..so PLOW my HILL!!..

my Dear Husband Mark knowing me QUITE well did not even DARE venture out to the drive after I was getting this accomplished.. he knew at that point I was to the point of INCOMING!! :grin..

we got a total of more than 20 inches of snow in the last 48 hours.. the last 2 nights has taken Mark 2 hours each night to snowplow, and we are out of room to put the rest we have coming these next 3 days

Sistah Judy- Mark goes to the Denver papers online each night, so we had seen that sinker!!,NOT cool.. glad no one was hurt, and your commute not affected..

we leave for Aruba 35 days from today.. and Woweee Zowee..are we ever ready...

I have house chores and errands to get done, first I am hammering down a few cuppas, and some relaxation then ZOOM.. later as it works..:daisy..Joanne .

Morning guys,Cruise Cutie my mom got hit with that snow in WI,she says it is horrible,she hasnt been out in days and is so worried that her b-day card to me wont get here in time,told her please mom no more broken hips or pelvises,as she always says to me Baby dont want some more of that! Every time I hear the word Aruba I think of that Beach Boy song,lol,know how much you love going there.

Maw those 2 weeks are gonna fly by,and then Maws office will be ready to fly,wish I could buy you a pina colada Maw!

Donna lad Nathan gave you a chuckle for the day! Grandkids,aw someday!

Judy have a restful weekend,after your crazy weeks you have earned them.

I spent yesterday cleaning out the dining room and started to make it into a bedroom,since it is so small for either room,it will be tight getting a bed in,but think I can manage a full,cant wait to shop for it,I am like a kid when it comes to furniture,dont care to clothes shop but a new piece of furniture I am in heaven!

I just got up but after reading about Joanne and Judy's days, I am tired and ready to go back to bed!! Thank goodness for weekends! Sure hope you two can rest and relax!

Donna, I got a kick out of the towel story from you grandson. They sure have their little minds set, don't they? So cute

Well, I've got some chicken cooking for chicken noodle soup today. DD is back from five days of flying and I know she'd like to have something home-cooked. The crew meals are not the greatest, if you know what I mean. She'll be here later today.

And....dh is dragging today. He went with his gang snowmobiling, ended up way up north and a couple of them ran out of gas. So it ended up being a very long night for them. I guess they didn't plan that one too well....

Survivor was good last night. I'm in a pool with two chances to win, so I'm cheering on my guy and girl.

Good Afternoon! Late start for me today as I FINALLY got some sleep. What an incredible difference antibiotics and sleep can do! I am off in a few to do the monthly big food shop. It snowed alittle bit here and is grey and stormy for the next few days. I will happy to have the house stocked and get back to resting and building my strength - believe you me if I didn't have to go I wouldn't!

My thoughts and prayers are will all the people affected by tragedy over the past few weeks!

Judy - Enjoy those warmer temps if you get them and I hope you get your quiet weekend!

Donna - Nathan sounds like a great little guy!

Joanne - Hope you get some downtime this weekend as you work really hard and deserve them! Aruba will be here before you know it.

Maw - Hope Paw can get those doc appts. straightened out so you don't have to go as often. I know how disruptive those appt. can be. Enjoy your day out with the girls - a pedicure is just the best for relaxing!
