Actually Princess is one of the last of the breed, the brochures and website say that you can take wine or champagne but no liquor on board,  our last cruise in September we took several bottles of champagne on board at embarkation in LA and then picked up a few more at our first stop in Puerto Vallarta from the Wally World across the street, no problem with the quantities. but they will get excited over big bottles of liquor.
