Starbucks + Allure = Eh, why not?

They already had Seattle’s Best Coffee on board and did a bang up job with that. #Seems like a great move to add trendier Starbucks to the stable of brands on brand-laden Allure of the Seas as Royal Caribbean International announced today.

Starbucks joins Dreamworks, GUESS, Crayola, Fisher-Price and Johnny Rockets, not to mention Chicago:The Musical.

Ok who’s keeping score?

Norwegian Epic has the Blue Man Group, Nickelodeon, Cirque (the other one but cool), Headliners Comedy Club and their own armada of trademark dining brands.

All I can say to those old-time#cruisers#who moan about the entertainment being “a 70′s Vegas show”, those who say “ya can’t get a decent cup of coffee at sea” and the ones that complain “the food all tastes the same” is this:

Wake up honey because Kathy Lee has left the building!

Coming to a quick close are the belly-up-to-the-buffet days to feed your gaping maws. #Out is grazing, ordering 6 steaks for dinner, and ending the cruise in a Moo-Moo; the only thing you’ll still fit in. # #Going fast are emotionless rent-a-caretakers for kids to occupy their time where its a good day when nobody gets groped inappropriately. #Cruise lines are diving in with both feet to embrace the quality and consistency that having brands on board offers.

The big question: #Do these brands complement an already high-quality operation that will endure time or are these timeless brands being added in place of what cruise lines can do on their own?

Does it matter?

There is a focus on fitness and health and wholesomeness with more physical activity choices than ever. #They’re moving away from herding guests around like cattle, giving individuals more options to make their vacation exactly what they want it to be. # Late today and tomorrow’s #cruise business is going to be the very most exciting experience ever.

Talk about a memorable vacation; #you will have to try pretty darn hard not to have a good time on one of these ships. #Yeah, bring on the Starbucks!
